We split the hot beef with a side salad and an order of onion rings. It was all good. The side salad had tomatoes, cucumbers, iceberg lettuce, mushroom slices, and cheese and the dressing was pretty chunky with blue cheese.
The hot beef and onion rings were phenomenal. Thick with tender slow-cooked beef, creamy gravy, on thin bread and thick mashed potatoes. The hot beef was delicious. And when the waitress accidentally served it to me with a spoon, I cheerfully joked that it was so I could get every drop of gravy. She fixed the problem as soon as she saw it, so I was impressed.
The onion rings were crisp and hot from the fryer. Really good.

The Mid-Watch
This is a nice bar right on Main Street with a nice atmosphere and plenty of space to spread out. Although some of the dishes we had were very good, my main dish could have been a lot better.
I ordered a 12oz. Ribeye medium well, and when it arrived, it looked medium rare.
I sent it back to be cooked a little more, and upon return, I could tell it never left the plate. I wasn’t going to send it back again…I have a phobia about that, so I powered through as much as I could. I decided to bring the rest home to cook it myself. There is a before and after pic of the steak… you decide if that’s medium well. The salad wasn’t too good either. It’s finely shredded iceberg lettuce with just cheese, cucumber, and tomatoes. The finely shredded lettuce gave it a soggy texture that just wasn’t palatable.
On a more positive note, the chips and salsa, as well as the fried pickles were really good.
The staff seemed really nice, and I don’t blame the server for the food. I think the back of the house just needs a bit more supervision and quality control.

Fantastic home cooked food. Homemade hamburger buns, fresh made salsa, hand breaded shrimp, hand patted burgers, and fresh cut fries. Tap beer was cold and crisp. Everything was great. Stuffed mushrooms were worth the wait.

Looked for something to eat before drove home after hiked in Chadron State Park. Found this place and it’s a cool place to eat. The server/bartender is so freaking cool and very nice! The amount of wait time was not bad. I had Dirty Burger with French fries and on tap Blue Moon with an orange slice beer. I was looking around this place as cool as a sport bar.

I thought it was okay, I mean nothing special to me. My sirloin was a nice thick cut and cooked slightly below medium as ordered. Could definitely use more side choices, especially some veggies. Mostly fried foods but do offer salads and grilled chicken. Bar stools at the tables definitely need to go. Not very comfortable at all. My server Kaylee was attentive and polite. The owner seemed polite and asked how my steak was? For a small town it’s a real friendly down to earth atmosphere of locals and regulars.

I was okay. It you’re in a hurry, lunch took us an hour and a half. The home made french fires, and onion rings were amazing! Make sure to ask for lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to come out with your burger. A refill during the wait would have been nice.

Found this cute Bar and Grill in Chadron. Food was good even though it was cold. I understand the world is in a staff shortage. The building inside is pretty amazing and I want to go again when it’s hopping! Staff was friendly and attentive. Will return!

Great prices, solid food and good beer. Had the chicken strips with honey mustard and onion rings, was all very good. Saw someone get the pizza which looked really good as well. Nice place to stop by for dinner and to watch a game.
