Amazing fish and chips, fresh and crispy. One of the best ones we have ever tried. We bought them and travelled from the shop to our home, took almost an hour. Just airfield 5 min to reheat and both fish and chips were super crunchy and yummy.

The BEST fish and chips I have ever had!
My partner and I had a portion of fish and chips each, I also had some curry sauce, garlic mayo and a battered Mars Bar to finish (I was very hungry )
The portion size was perfect! Just right – not too much, not too little. Everything was well drained and not swimming in oil. The chips were a beautiful golden colour, all the way through too!
The curry sauce was superb, quite unlike any curry sauce I’ve ever had in any fish shop. The portion size was very large and could probably have served two!
The garlic mayo was equally delicious, the portion size was very generous. I ended up with 2 portions due to an ordering error. Yes I ate them both
The icing on the cake was the Mars Bar. This is only the second battered Mars Bar I’ve ever had and this was far superior as, like the fish and chips, it wasn’t swimming in oil so it was easy to eat and enjoy without wanting to vomit halfway through (as was my first experience at another establishment!)
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming up here.

Very clean, polite staff (even when busy) quick service and it’s obvious a lot of care and attention is put into this establishment, my only grudge and this may be selfish but I felt it was very greasy. I ordered a breaded haddock supper took a few bites and it was just saturated in grease. The chips were fine and the other dish I ordered was as expected (fine) but the fish itself was mediocre which is a shame as it was the whole reason I went unfortunately this is not the first or second time I’ve had this issue which is why I am posting this review. I hope it guides others to order something from this establishment they will truly enjoy and I also hope it will help the staff make a change or two to their preparation of their fish to make it more tasteful and enjoyable!

Best fish and chips in Stonehaven and surrounding areas, I won’t eat fish from any other chippy. I do disagree about the year of the deep fried mars bar tho because I had my first one from this chippy site when I was 14/15 which was in 1990 we had a caravan in Stonehaven from the 70’s to 1991. By 1995 I had stopped coming to Stonehaven for around 10yrs.

Was recommended by a local as it was apparently the birthplace of the deep fried mars bar. Had fish and chips and of course the mars bar and everything was satisfying. Probably better eaten fresh as the fish wasn’t as nice once its cooled but there’s no option to dine in but it still tasted good after a 20min drive home.

I had to go to this place as it was recommend and was voted Chippie of the year couple of years ago. Wonderful haddock and the chips were very good. Only negative was the batter at the ends of the fish was oily but the haddock was perfect, flaky and cooked right. Portion size good. It was very busy chippi but the service was spot on. Small sitting area outside. This place was the birthplace of deep fried mars bar. No I didn’t try that.

I appreciate that costs are increasing but find the practice of adding extra costs offensively. Recall how we all feel about easyJet and Ryanair!

The best fish and chips I will ever have in my life. I can’t stop thinking about these fish and chips. They are piping hot from just being cooked and you can get the small fish and chips (It’s actually a very good sized meal that can fill up most adults) for under 10 pounds. Get the fish and chips, you will not regret it.
