The food here was bold, brave, and full of flavor! The kafta burger is my new favorite burger anywhere, and the tenderloin kabobs don’t require a knife, the pieces just melt in your mouth. The Brussels sprouts were sweet, savory, and perfectly cooked. I loved the fusion of Lebanese and traditional American bistro cooking. Prices are very reasonable. With many entrees in the $22 neighborhood, there’s plenty of room for some low cost appetizers and desserts (do yourself the favor.) The decor is very cool, though the small space and tight proximity of the tables are a little more than “cozy”. Bottom line, we’ll be back very soon!
-update, we came back, had the kabobs and steak tips, and we’re thrilled!

Have been meaning to try Stone Cut Bistro for months. Glad we finally made it!
Seated promptly, Annie greeted us as soon as we were seated. She went over the menu and the Tuesday special. Appreciated being given time to place orders (which we did in stages), never felt rushed.

Very nice wine list – nice by the glass options. Roasted Brussel sprouts were delicious as was the hummus (served with house made olive bread). I had the lamb kabob (Tuesday special), hubs had the Thai chicken kabob. Both were excellent. Ordered a bread pudding to go – great bedtime snack.

Will definitely be back.

We have had several very nice dinners at stonecut bistro. It is a small quaint place with a very nice atmosphere. We appreciate that it can be a place to be moderately dressed up or semi-casual. The food is interesting and excellent. Great flavors, nicely rotating menu, lots of options. We always order the whipped beet feta dip. Most recently we had a most delightful experience and got to try the evening special of kafta dumplings made by Mama Hajjar.

Food was very good – I had smash burger and my husband had the swordfish kabobs which were excellent. The Thai sauce is a bit spicy though but the fish came so moist and had some type of “sauce” on it and he didn’t use the thai sauce. We also shared the feta /beet cheese appetizer & a Ceasars salad. The waitress was so kind and gracious. We noticed the manager or owner was always present and helpful. My only additional comment is – it is a bit noisy. I think maybe because it is such a small restaurant I dont know if they can make it quieter- it just seems loud. I guess so many loud people. (LOL). But I have been in small tight restaurants before and they have been quiet. Maybe they were carpeted & absorbed the sound better. Either way the food was excellent and very good experience and will be back.

Here we go…but first I must confess something. I went to the plaza just off Central and Talmadge looking for another restaurant – but they were gone. In its place was this restaurant called Stone Cut Bistro. I had never heard of it (to be fair, they’ve only been open a little over a month). Recognizing that my hunger was growing, I decided to – at least – check out the menu.
Ok – the menu is 1 page, but there was enough variety to entice me to stay. When I walked in, it was as my Hawaiian friends would say, “same but different.”That means that it is similar to something previously experienced, but something has changed. The structure and layout was much the same, with the bar in the same place, the dim lighting still there, and a warning to “watch your step” at the end of the bar area. However, that is where the similarities end. The vibe here is different – the predecessors were very formal, almost uncomfortably so. But under the guidance of the Hajjar Brothers, it feels more like friends and family. Don’t get me wrong, the staff was professional, efficient, and accommodating, but they were also welcoming, with smiles and offers of assistance throughout my visit. I arrived a bit after 5 PM, and it started to get busy around 6 PM on a Friday night.
Drinks: It was a no-alcohol night since I was driving, so I won’t bore you with which pop I ordered. I will say, however, that there is a fully stocked bar and the other patrons seemed very happy with it.
Now on to the food…I started with the Papas Bravas (spicy potatoes) and they did not disappoint. There was not much listed as far as the ingredients, but suffice to say, they were not overly spicy, just a hint of what I’m guessing to be a bit of chili oil (don’t hold me to that!). Delish!! The potatoes were crispy on the outside while light and fluffy on the inside. I could have made a meal of those alone, but knowing a review would ensue, I opted to order a variety of things.
For the entrée, I ordered the Thai Chicken Kabobs. It came with a side of watercress salad and a very light, refreshing dressing. It also came with seasoned vinegar fries, but when asking about other options, they happily offered me an alternative. Deep, deep inside I was secretly looking for something that would bring up the words, “Hmmm, that’s interesting”. I honestly wasn’t sure how Lebanese brothers would do with making Thai food, but it was SO GOOD!! I’m sorry I ever doubted, and a special apology goes out to Nasri, who later told me this was his recipe! Score another point for Team Hajjar!
Lastly, I ordered the Lemon cake for dessert. Note to self: next time I think about taking dessert home for later, don’t – for aesthetic reasons only. To have dessert in the restaurant, they make it so pretty! But the to-go box was a real disappointment. Yes, I completely understand why – it’s a tall dessert. I recommend having at least a bite of the pretty dessert at the restaurant! 😉

First time visiting Toledo, we stopped by Stone Cut after dinner and what an immaculate vibe this place is. The service was incredible, Katie behind the bar was so inviting and the ‘Smokin Velvet’ drink was phenomenal. World class food, ambiance & people. I’m not a review guy, but I give credit where it is due and we need more places like this.

Ate here tonight for the first time. My husband and I shared the whipped feta, which was delicious. He got the Kafta burger and I got the steak with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Everything was so good. I loved all the wood accent and attention to detail. We will definitely be going back!
