We have an amazing lineup of beverages including espresso drinks (hot or iced), cold brew, regular coffee, hot chocolate, frappes, Lotus Drinks, Lemonades, Italian Sodas, Diesel Drinks (our version of Dirty Sodas) and Smoothies. Hungry…we have some great signature sandwiches such as the Garlic Roastbeef Panini (a family recipe of Shredded Hot Beef) along with other Panini’s, Subs, Sandwiches, Wraps and Salads. We serve breakfast sandwiches and a great breakfast burrito from 8:30-11. We offer Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream made in Madison, Wisconsin. A wide variety of options are available for ice cream…cones, sundaes, shakes, malts, floats and Affogatos. Stop in and Check us out!

Adorable little shop along hwy 13. It has a walk up order window or you can go inside and they offer some cute Butternut clothing items and gifts. They offer ice cream in cones, malts, or sundaes and for a something a little more substantial, they have hot dogs and nachos. They also offer cute tables both indoor and outside.

My paddling and fishing group was looking for some ice cream after AJ’s Bar and Dining in Park Falls informed us that they had no desserts. We asked for a recommendation, and our waitress suggested Butternut Ice Cream and Treats in Butternut, WI. Thank heavens they had a listing on Google Maps!
This is the cutest little ice cream shop you can imagine. From the homey decor to the friendly girl behind the counter, we were blown away by this fun little place. I had the zanzibar dark chocolate – two scoops in one of their made-on-site waffle cones for $3.50. As soon as we walked in, we could smell those cones! One of my paddling partners had the peanut butter cup ice cream, which he said was delicious. My cone was excellent, with a little baby marshmallow plugging the bottom of the cone as an anti-drip device.
We enjoyed our ice cream out on their covered front porch area. The delight in the eyes of a little girl that was finishing her ice cream with her mother was great.
This place also has reasonably priced hot dogs, sandwiches, beverages, and other snacks for sale. The description on their Cuban sandwich looked particularly good. If we hadn’t already gorged ourselves on prime rib, potatoes, and the salad bar at AJ’s, we would have ordered some hot dogs or sandwiches. I’ll update my review the next time I paddle the Flambeau River.

What a fun place! My husband and I stopped in today to get a hot coffee…and ended up with delicious ice cream instead. We enjoyed chatting with the owner (and accidentally kept her past closing –sorry, Kim!), and hearing some of her stories. There is a BIG menu of coffees, sodas, sandwiches, and ice cream, so we’ll definitely be back to try some more good stuff. Is tomorrow too soon to go?

Nice folks. New owners a couple of years ago. Great ice cream cones like always. They added specialty coffee, panini sandwiches, and wraps. We will have to try those next time. The one I saw looked awesome.

We were very glad to come across this place on our way to Copper Falls. The food and ice cream was really good, and the employees very easy going and kind. Our only regret was it was closed Monday on our way home. We will definitely stop in again the next time we are in the area!

The ice cream was just ok. Its a small town. Butternut isn’t big at all so its more of a novelty. Offered a variety of flavour options but still a very small assortment of them. Service was nice and pleasant. Store was very clean. Sold more than just ice cream. Pleasant experience on our way.
