Such a disappointing experience. We have gone to many of the Las Palmas and braved the cold weather to get some warm food. But that didn’t happen. It took forever to get our drinks and order. Then we waited forever for our food. By the time the 3rd table that had been seated after us received their food we were finally able to ask the waiter. I honestly thought he forgot to even place the order. Mistakes happen. But no real apology. Just said it’s super busy. When we did finally get our food though it was so cold! Almost completely inedible. The chicken quesadilla wasn’t even shredded chicken just huge chunks and burnt. I was so disappointed spending so much money for nothing. Would have been different if there had been any apologies or attempts to make it right but there was nothing. Won’t be back.

This is a tough one because we absolutely loved the location, loved the vibe and the decoration, and the people working there were very friendly. Our biggest problem was that about half of our orders were wrong. Now they were very quick to get them corrected and I know we had a large group, but it was quite a lot of our orders. Plus one of our orders had chicken that was not cooked all the way through and had to be sent back. Again, they took it right away and fixed it. But the fact that the chicken wasn’t cooked through is a problem. And they also did not take anything off the bill because of these problems. But it is a great place. I absolutely loved the tableside guacamole that they did. The menu was so big and had so many options. And the drinks were wonderful and HUGE!!

Had a great time at Las Palmas! I’ve been to several locations, and they’re all pretty good. This was my first visit to this one, and I came with friend for drinks. Everything tasted great, and the service was quick. Felt like our drinks was a bit pricey, but overall, the experience was enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back to try the food!

Wife and I have been to this restaurant many times. Usually a good experience. On a recent visit the food was horrible and service extremely slow. My wife’s fish Tacos did not even look like fish and my food was burnt to a crisp. The waiter apologized on the way out it because he knew we were regulars and how bad it was. I contacted their corporate site and informed them of our visit. They didn’t even take the time to respond.There are many Mexican restaurants in the area so there is no need to go back to this one.

Words can’t express my gratitude for Las Palmas at Red Mill. I am a wedding planner, and yesterday, I experienced a complete catering no-show for a 60-person wedding. With a timeline to stick to and a very anxious couple, I called Las Palmas in a last-ditch effort. Without hesitation, they took on the impossible task.
In what felt like minutes, they cooked a beautiful, hot, and delicious meal for 60 guests. The speed and quality of their work were seriously impressive, and they ensured we had the food right on time. This single act saved the wedding and kept the day flowing perfectly.
The customer service was equally exceptional. When I went to pick up the food, the entire staff—from the kitchen to the front of the house—came out to help load everything into our vehicles. Their compassion and willingness to go above and beyond in a crisis are unparalleled.
I am forever grateful to the team at Las Palmas for being true heroes. I would recommend them a million times over for their amazing food, incredible efficiency, and outstanding kindness. Thank you for everything!

Great Tex-Mex joint with outstanding customer service and speed. Been twice with a group of 14 and another with just 3, both times they had drinks out in around 5 minutes of seating with appetizers out in 15. Waiters are always moving about but quick to jump in and address requests. Food quantity for price is great, only giving 4-stars because I think more seasoning is needed.

Visited Las Palmas for the first time this weekend with my boyfriend. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. We interacted with at least 6 staff members during our time. One person brought the drinks, one took the appetizer and entree order, then next person brought the entrees, then next grabbed our plates when we were done, next person gave us to-go boxes, and finally person brought us our check. It was wild how great they all work together. Also, place had extremely nice decor.

After a year of living in Virginia, I finally found a really great Mexican restaurant. I’ve been to many since relocating from Texas. This place is great. Love their salsa & queso. The only suggestion I’d make for improvement is to get a bigger bowl for the queso. Not enough in the bowl it comes in, lol. Chicken fajitas are great. Kid’s burgers are huge, and fries are plenty. Chicken strips are awesome. My kids say this is their pick from now on when we’re looking to eat Mexican.
We will definitely go back & next time, I’ll take pictures & add a fresh review. I want to try their nachos next. This place actually tasted like Mexican food. Plenty of flavor. Update, went again last weekend. Loved it. Trimmed different items & they were great. Here’s some photos. The food taste as good as it looked & the service is above par. Great staff. The kids menu items are great. The kids still request this place when considering Mexican food. This one is located on Upton in Virginia Beach. Our favorite go to for Mexican. The dips are awesome. The prices are great. All five of us eat for $58 to $70 depending on what we order.
