Hornville is back and better than ever! The new owner John was true to Hornville’s history while making some much needed and fantastic improvements! It’s clear that he’s put his whole heart into making this place, which has meant a lot to him and the community, the best it can be. A true gem! The food is on point and fantastic! The prices are really (more than) fair and reasonable! The service is top notch; you can tell they all care very much about making folks feel welcome! The atmosphere is great as well! My family and some friends have been a few times already since they’ve reopened and we’ll continue to frequent here! It’s hard to imagine it getting better but, they’ve just reopened so we know they’ll not rest on their laurels and will continue to bring it! Congrats John and team! We love JW Hornville!

We placed a carry out order with several different orders with it. The orders were ready on time and all were labeled and had related condiments in each separate order. The staff was super friendly – even helped carry order to my car. The chili was very good. The Deb Club was called exceptional by more than 1 person. Everyone enjoyed their food. We will definitely be returning!

When got there @ 3:35 on a Saturday afternoon 2/7 waited 15 minutes for someone to come to our table in the bar room. They then informed us that they were closing because of a water issue. The waitress looked at us couple of times but never came over to our table because she was talking other people in the bar. Need to work on service. Don’t know about the food.

Server took my order and waited 45 minutes to tell me they didn’t have any more. Even getting a menu too 15 minutes. Prices were reasonable, food was decent, but service was terrible and I won’t be back.

A hidden gem! Really enjoyed our trip to Hornville Tavern. Went in for lunch and got the fried appetizer platter and it was huge with lots of selection. Finished lunched with a delicious double cheeseburger and fries. Everything was very reasonably priced, would definitely recommend, and look forward to going back.

The old saying that the hole in the walls serve the best food applies to Hornville Tavern. I had the Ribeye and did not regret it. It was tender, juicy, and oh so flavorful with just the right amount of fat to keep it tender and full of flavor. It made my mouth water and my belly thrilled. My friend had the smoked chicken, it was awesome smoked chicken as per my friend. The German Potato Salad was delicious, loved it. And the Baked Beans were good a little different but good. My other friend had the Ribeye Sandwich which was good, had just the right amount of fat to give it flavor and crinkle cut fries, they were excellent for fries. We were all extremely impressed with our meals and service.

Excellent daily specials. Wednesday smoked chicken is my favorite. Great service and atmosphere. You must try the ribeye sandwich frequently on special.
