Thank you to the person who mentioned the Taqueria Mexican Market near the 500 and Fourth Plain Blvd. Wow! This is a gem of a place. Awesome, flavorful, huge machaca breakfast burrito (at a decent price point), tons of fresh bakery items (bakery on site), and any kind of Mexican ingredient you would ever need or want including meats, dairy, and produce. They even have piñatas and cakes! Lots of tamale flavors! $2.50 each or 6/$15 or $30 per dozen! I’m blown away by this place. Everyone was so friendly. Please give this local, family-owned business a shot to earn your business. They’re doing things right!

I’ve been going here for 7 years. This is the only place I will get fresh meat with an authentic Mexican flavor. I don’t speak Spanish and yet the staff know exactly what I get and will confirm that’s what I want. They are quick but accurate. I’ve tried other places but seriously, their meat department is the best. It’s easy to pick up things I forgot or can’t find somewhere else. Some prices are higher than at say Fred Meyer or Walmart, but honestly, I just support them because they consistently have great products. Cheapest Mexican Coca Cola, too.

Food was great and authentic, the taco special is a really good deal, lots of groceries to browse while you wait for your food, and fresh baked goods and desserts also. There is also a butcher in the store as well.

What a wonderful market the taqueria. I can honestly say the food was absolutely over and above delicious and the price was so reasonable it didn’t seem right but I got a tostada for $3.99 it was packed full of meat and beans and cheese and sour cream and guacamole it was amazing! I also go in there to buy a certain brand of coffee called dolce it’s hard to find but they always seem to have it so today I’m trying to buy the last of their jars cuz I waited from last week and lo and behold I didn’t have any and so their order wouldn’t be in until next week well I’m moving from Vancouver Washington and I won’t be able to buy any over on the islands. About 2 hours later I get a call from them they’ve got me 15 Jars and not only did they call me they gave me everything’s price of almost $10 I hope all your customers are as happy as I am and I can’t wait to get back here to see you again blessings and thank you

Taqueria Mexican Market is part store and part eatery. I ordered the spicy pork burrito. It was pretty good. Especially for the price ($8.59). I would probably go with a steak burrito next time. Ample parking is available. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. -VanPort Insider✌

Great butcher, and taqueria. Limited produce selection but you’ll find things like jalapeño, Serrano, onion, cilantro, but not much else. Butcher has great carne asada, and arrachera and is always fresh. They also have great Chocoflan!

They have some of the best Mexican food in Vancouver. This little market is situated back in the corner and the restaurant is in the back of the actual market. I’ve had quite a few dishes off the menu here and they are all tasty and super fresh. I feel as if I am in the Southern half of the United States where some of the best Mexican food can be found.

Bodega a la California. Love it!!! Its like being a kid again for me! Not only is the bodega fantastic, but they have one of the best bakeries in town, and the best taqueria hands down would absolutely recommend!!!
