The food was good and everyone was friendly. Ran out of drinks a few times. Food was hot and fresh. Had kids menus with crayons to let them color while waiting. Clean throughout.
Update: we have been back a few times since my first review. The food was good as always and our experiences have been great each time. The last time we went my 5 year old began choking on a cheese stick. I am thankful to be trained as a paramedic and was able to get the cheese stick out quickly. What I want to point out is that the waitresses and staff we had that night dropped what they were doing and were at our table to give aid to my son and I’m so grateful for that! 1 of the waitresses we talked to was BLS certified as well. Not sure if all of them were but it was awesome to see. A+

My husband & I came to Highrail for Valentines Day! It is one of our favorite places to go. The food was absolutely amazing ! If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend ! Our waitress Janice was very nice and a great host! She’s my favorite !

This is absolutely a hidden gem in downtown Thomson, GA. The restaurant has a beautiful bar area, large screen TVs and plenty of room for large parties. The food was absolutely the best. The grilled salmon, blackened catfish cornbread, and the mashed potatoes were simply the best. A must try are the collard green egg rolls. OMG! Delicious. This food is definitely home cooking in the South. This place is a must visit when in the area.

You can’t beat $2 mimosas for brunch. Also, the cheesy grits were amazing!!! We enjoyed our brunch. We got the chicken and waffles, seafood fritters and my hubs got the pork chop and eggs. We were not disappointed. Very glad Thomson finally got a spot like this!

Excellent service and friendly staff. The chef brought us our meal and we were asked several times how things were. We got the chicken fried chicken with collards and mac n cheese and the catfish with a double side of grits. Heaven on a plate! Thr grits were light and creamy and the chicken was fried to perfection. The place was near empty at the tail end of lunch rush but I suspect business will be booming later tonight since it’s Friday AND Valentine’s Day. Will definitely stop by again when we’re passing through.

Never had been there before and was so glad I had lunch there today. Just happened to be in Thomson GA for business at lunch time. Read the glowing reviews and decided to go there. Everything is so clean and the service is great. The menu has a lot to choose from and everything is made from scratch. I had a shrimp po boy with sweet potato fries and a salad. Very gourmet type food in a small town reasonably priced. The decor was really pretty with a relaxed environment. Will be back there next time I am in Thomson.

If you’re road-tripping, do yourself a favor, drive into town and have a meal here! The food was delicious, the staff was exceptionally kind.
Family friendly! They have a coloring sheet and crayons for the kids. Plenty of highchairs. The space was nice and open, there were other families and it didn’t not feel overly loud or cramped. They made a point to bring out food for my kid as soon as it was ready, bc sometimes it’s so hard for kids to wait.
Improvements? Better changing table set up.

we came in pretty early for dinner so it wasn’t busy at all. the service was fast and everyone was friendly. i had the fried catfish with macaroni and cheese and sweet potato fries, with a cocktail. the food was pretty good overall, especially the sweet potato fries! in general, this seems to be a pretty nice spot in thomson for southern food.

The food, service and atmosphere was very good. I had the salmon with baked potato and hush puppies which were very good. The fried green beans were a delicious appetizer. They have live music on Saturday nights.
