The atmosphere was well put together. The bathroom is clean and spacious.
The service was very straightforward. A little terse.
Overall I would say the food is the highlight, and I guess that’s what matters…
The plates surprises you with a delicious and wonderful taste.
The service is fast and really enchanting you with a unique taste and texture.
I really enjoyed and recommend this place.
Also there are a great variety of veggie recipes.
Highly recommend the lunch Gio combo with salmon teriyaki! They also have excellent Nigiri options (my recommendations are the salmon belly, toro and unagi!). Also, really like the Don katsu. Recommend giving them a try if you haven’t. Also, their customer service is on point!

First impressions were solid—the presentation was clean and thoughtful, not overdone, but definitely showed care. The Ten Don came as a generous portion, likely more than enough for most appetites. What stood out was how vegetable-heavy it was, and everything was cooked just right. The tempura was crispy, not greasy at all, and the seasoning hit a really nice balance. It’s one of those dishes that makes you stop and think, “Yup, I’d come back for this.”
The sushi was equally good—fresh, clean cuts, and nicely prepared. Nothing to complain about at all.
Now, is this a place that will blow your mind with creativity or presentation? Probably not. But for a casual dinner, it was consistently delicious and satisfying. If I could, I’d give it a 4.5 out of 5, but since I can only choose whole numbers, I’ll go with a solid 4 stars. There’s still some room to push it to the next level, but it’s definitely a spot worth revisiting.
I ordered takeout from Sushi Gio by clicking the “Order Online” button on their Google listing, which directed me to DoorDash. I placed the order for pickup and collected it myself.
While eating my sunomono salad, I found a mangled staple in my mouth and had to spit it back into the food. Finding metal in your food is alarming and completely unacceptable.
I immediately returned to the restaurant and asked for a refund. The staff member argued with me and refused to issue one. I even suggested they simply refund it from the cash register, but was told I would have to go through DoorDash or she would make another sunumono salad. Obviously I didn’t want another!
I then had to download the DoorDash app, only to find the order didn’t even appear in my history.
A staple in food is a serious safety issue. The refusal to take responsibility and arguing with a customer over a refund made the experience even worse. I will not be returning.
