This place is one of the most unique restaurants I’ve ever been in! Just outside of the tiny town of Yamessee, I was told this used to be Nixon Chevrolet. Sure enough, it’s easy to see where the showroom and the service shop was, even the lube pits. Now it’s a buffet restaurant with limited hours and great southern food. Nothing fancy but very good. There are a few smaller tables but most share long tables with others. There’s so much in this place to see it’s safe to say you won’t see it all. The staff, including Harold’s nephews and nieces, were VERY friendly, too! I’ll be back.

From the moment I walked in, I could tell I was in an upscale restaurant just by the way the clientele dressed. Thank goodness I was wearing a sport coat and my wife, a knee length skirt and a cardigan. Probably one of the finest restaurants i’ve ever gone to. From the moment we walked in our Bartender asked if we wanted bar seating or white cloth seating. For drinks , I prefer some of the finest IPA’s and they just so happen to have mine. My wife had a very nice Chardonnay. In a very tall glass, very pretty. The apps at the bar were a surprise; for instance, calamari dipped in a caviar vinegerett. The presentation was amazing. I have to say the ambiance Was unique.nAnd special, I really thought I was in new york city. Who would have thought there’d be a gem in this part of south carolina. You would be highly disappointed if you passed this place up. Unfortunately, we did not stay for dinner.I think we might have missed out on something special. *If you believe this , I would like to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge. *

This is a unique one of a kind experience. You feel like your on the set of a B movie but it is a unique cool experience. This location was a country gas station/country store that has been transformed into a really cool restaurant/tavern/ night club. We attended on Steak night(forgot to take photos of our food) it was a delicious ribeye steak, baked potato, salad and grilled onion for $25. After dinner the band started playing and dance floor filled up with a good time had by all.

Fabulous local watering hole! Interesting quirky decor with a homey comfortable vibe. We sat at the bar and enjoyed seafood platters and chatted with Terri & Phil and all the other folk who bellied up to the bar. Such a friendly community! And the bartender was the sweetest gal ever. Sorry we missed steak night as we were passing through on Friday not Saturday when they have their weekly steak dinner, it is reported to be outstanding – by Southern Living magazine! Definitely will go out of our way to pass this way again and enjoy this spot!

Quirky – maybe not the vision you had of country club before arriving, but the former gas station with a collection of barn sale items and family style dining has its charm. No menu, just a good home cooked dinner at a very reasonable price. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would go back. Folks are friendly and professional.

Love this place and the old family atmosphere. It’s building was an old gas station and automobile shop.
You have to call in advance to order your stake. Thevsalad and bake potato bar is well stocked. They had bread and tea.
The slice cake was a dollar extra.
Overall great experience

Good food, nothing fancy. It’s an old gas station and there are tons of interesting pictures and whatnot decorating the walls. Very good value for the money.
