The café inside Kona Airport is cozy with fast service and friendly staff. Food and coffee are good, prices a bit high but expected. Just note — if you order alcohol, you must stay inside; outdoor tables are not allowed for drinks. Still, a pleasant and convenient stop before your flight.

Aloha… Emily faces and friendly cashier, but that’s where the good experience ended.
Horrendous food, truly awful, and outrageously overpriced. I have never spent close to $100 and walked away with absolutely nothing of value — no taste, no quality, no satisfaction.
Hawaii is known for warmth, hospitality, and incredible food — this place delivers none of that.
A complete disappointment and a terrible representation of the Aloha spirit. Mahalo

Since when do we let people grab credit cards out of our hands without consent? My mother – stressed out in an an environment speaking another language than her’s- was holding strong to her card with a wrist slint while the waitress was tugging on it, hasting her to pay. The waitress angrily let go when I said « she doesnt want to let go of her card ». There was no line, no rush, no need to prompt anyone like that, less any reason to tip for stuff we grabbed out of a fridge…

Lunch was excellent! They had a great tasty vegan burger and have veggie wrap options. Their fries were really good too. My son has multiple food allergies and they were able to cook something especially for him with the modifications we needed. Very friendly staff and plenty of setting and table.

An extremely rude female cashier. She served me very impolitely and unpleasantly. She yelled at me and didn’t pay any attention to the fact that men cut in front of me in line. A very unpleasant farewell ‘hello’ from Hawaii at the end of my vacation.

This place is AWESOME! A must stop! The ladies who work there are just amazing! They are so friendly and personable! It was an absolute pleasure to stop for some light fare and a cocktail! True Aloha spirit!

We never stop at airport bars/restaurants when we arrive, but our friends we were meeting came on a later flight, so here we were.

ATMOSPHERE:
Located in Kona International Airport. The small restaurant was jam packed. Every seat was taken. The bar is a tiny 4 seater with less than impressive décor and housekeeping. The rest of the tables are high tops, regular, counter, and outdoor seating, and alcohol is not served outside.

MENU:
Bentos, salads, burgers, pizzas, a coffee bar. Prices were average but alcohol was very pricey.

BEVERAGE:
Kona Brewing Company Longboard
Pricey. Anyway, the beer was good but not ice cold.

SERVICE:
It’s like a cafeteria with a bar, so aside from the bartenders, there is no waiter service. Order, pay, and sit. Bar service was quick and friendly.

OVERALL:
Only if you’re desperate. If not, save your time and money.

I had their teriyaki chicken with fries—the only restaurant inside Kona Airport. The food was good, and since it’s the only option, I have no complaints. Good food and a good vibe overall!

The food was excellent! I had the Cheeseburger. It was cooked just right, juicy, and the lettuce and tomato was super fresh! My friend had the Garden Burger and it was also cooked well, moist and not dry at all, toppings super fresh! The fries were crispy and the prices were the same range as the rest of the island so no extra expensive food in the airport!

They have coolers with “to go” foods like ready made sandwiches and pasta salads.

There is also a bar in this cafe and they have local Kona beers on tap.

I was surprised by how good the service in this little airport cafe was. Our food was tasty and up to par with many of the sit-down restaurants we visited outside of the major resort areas. They had a good selection of local craft beers on tap too. Service was quick. Food was tasty. All in all it was a great way to get a bite to eat and cool down before our flight. (Air conditioned!)
