I like Matt’s, it always has a good atmosphere and vibe. It still feels very authentic Arizonan and is not flooded by Cali culture. The cash-only part is a bit uncomfortable, but at the same time it’s part of that authenticity. They have an ATM at the end of the hall, so it’s not a biggie. Highly recommended, and I hope they never change because it’s amazing.

Had a Blue dolphin and Wife loved her tequila soda.
Music volume was perfect for talking and other were dancing. In and out before 830. Great atmosphere understand why is seemed to be getting busy around time we left.

0stars despite the settings. 1, there’s a large male that made me feel very uncomfortable, black beard, big guy, I was told he was the bar tenders boyfriend. He threatened the guys I was with in order to talk to me, basically pulled me away from the bar and bartender and he asked me to go to the other bar with him and when I said no he put his hand on my butt and pushed me at dancers on the dance floor and called me an inappropriatename to call a female. I told the bar tender up from and she said that’s the back bartenders boyfriend and said he’s always starting problems with guys and the owners know hes hit several and still allow him there. It’s a lawsuit waiting to happen and it’s criminal sexual assault for him to push me like that. Its also a lawsuit waiting to happen that staff and the owners allow him to do this in the bar. I tried to talk to a security guard about it, a hefty Mexican American indivual that security said was in charge and family had ownership stake in the bar. He was so drunk he told me to get over it commented that the way I was dressed looks like I’m here to be hit on like that and did nothing. Moments later the drunk security guard went and talked to the beared guy and began laughing, he immediately came back slurring his words showed us a leather wrapped device for combat and brass knuckles from his pocket started talking about throwing the guys I was with out by force and calling them gay slurs and then grabbed my wrist, I basically had to pull free and flee the bar. The security guard at the front door apologized and verified both the security guard that was drunk and the man at the bar the groped and assaulted me and started this are at the bar almost every night and there’s nothing he can do as the other security guard is his boss. This bar is not a safe place for women and clearly will not protect them from sexual violence the themselves declared happens often.
I also called today and left a message with the head bartender available and told them what occured and that I’d like the owner to call me back.when I called, as I began to describe the beared individual the bartender cut me off, finished the description and told me I am not the first one but the owners won’t kick him out even if he’s a danger and sparking violence and sexual assaults in their bar. I was told the owners “Matt and marco” won’t get involved unless we bring a lawsuit.

My husband got kicked out after 5 minutes of being there and we are brand new to the town (2weeks) and had never been there. He asked why and they couldn’t give a reason. We were confused and upset. He might have looked like someone that was banned, but it was still very nasty way of throwing us out. Wish we could feel comfortable going there again but we don’t.

A couple nights ago, my mom and I stopped in while visiting from out of town. The bar top was full, so we sat at a table. We were completely ignored. One server walked past us multiple times, then looked over, smirked, and laughed before going back to the bar and continuing to ignore us. The other bartender didn’t acknowledge us at all.
We sat there for about 10 minutes without so much as a hello before we decided to leave. We had been to several other bars on the main strip that night and every single one was welcoming and friendly — this place was the complete opposite. Very rude staff and an uncomfortable, unwelcoming experience.

Husband and I stopped in for a,drink today while visiting Prescott. The saloon was empty except for a table of 3. We sat at the bar. I ordered a Tom Collins, bartender asked if I wanted that with gin or vodka. Well I ordered a Tom Collins not a vodka Collins. It was awful. I think the bartender forgot the simple syrup. Husband ordered a VO and 7, she didn’t put in the 7. Never ever will we go here again. Maybe get a bartender that knows how to mix drinks. Other than that the saloon was very clean as was the women’s restroom.

There is no food, the service is amazing, and the atmosphere is amazing on the right night…..aka Friday and Saturday.
My issues is with karaoke night. Have you ever experienced a karaoke bar where there is a multi-song wait list to sing and yet the KJ still manages to steal time to sing? I have not. If there is a list to sing and the KJ comes out, you are in the wrong place.
