After visiting the breathtaking Luray Caverns, we stopped by Cooter’s Country Kitchen — and it was hands down one of the best decisions of the day.
We ordered the Big Ben and the Lulu burgers, and both were absolutely outstanding. The Lulu was delicious, perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. But the Big Ben? On another level. The combination of bacon jam, BBQ sauce, provolone cheese, and that perfectly crispy onion ring on top creates an unforgettable balance of sweet, smoky, savory goodness. Every bite was incredible. Easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time — truly special and 100% recommended.
We also had two smoothies, which were fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to such a satisfying meal.
If you’re anywhere near Luray, this place is a must. Amazing food, generous portions, and a fun, authentic atmosphere. We absolutely loved it and would come back in a heartbeat.

Came here for the first time earlier this week, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were super kind, and the food was outstanding. I got their Garlic Burger, and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. Their Peanut Butter Pie Cheesecake was sooo tasty. I cannot wait to go back and try something else!

We came in a group of people, 1st group got their food no problem. 2nd group couldn’t get their order properly because they were out of stuff so they substituted with hash browns. 3rd group they got a bowl of sausage gravy and they forgot about the rest of their order till 4 orders later and we had to go up and ask what’s taking so long. It took 45 minutes from the time I ordered my one burger with onion rings until the time they called my number. The poor guy two ahead of me … they never started his order until the guy who ordered after him got his food. ♂️
