Hands down, the best breakfast I’ve had in the Lowcountry. The food, the vibe, the service—everything was on point.
My husband had the cathead chicken biscuit (minus the cheese), and he couldn’t stop talking about it. The biscuit was topped with a perfectly fried, boneless chicken breast sliced in half. The sausage gravy? Creamy, flavorful, and the perfect match for that biscuit. He paired it with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice that literally smelled like someone had just peeled an orange right in front of us.
I went for the fried French toast—yes, fried! The best way I can describe it: if an elephant ear and French toast had a baby, this would be their sweet, decadent bundle of joy. Topped with fresh berries and cream, it was incredible and an absolute must try.
The atmosphere was cozy and cute, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the prices were super reasonable for the portion sizes. We’ll definitely be back!
Much better than the Eggs Ip Grill it replaced. If you live in Brickyard very convenient. Quick food delivery also. When weather gets nicer might be a good place to sit outside and eat. That said it is pretty hard to transform a BLT and they didn’t. I am told a proper BLT has a slice of lettuce. Not shredded.
I’d say the biggest draw back is loud. High ceiling and cement floor makes the sound bounce. The bar tender made the world’s largest cappuccino and we could not hear each other for what felt like an eternity. So is it the best place in town ? No. Is it worth it to try? Absolutely. I’ll go back. Breakfast with a beer? Sign me up
Our server, Jordan, blew us away with his hospitality. Very genuine, truly authentic with his customer service. The attention to detail was amazing. He even brought me a to go coffee without me asking! So thoughtful. And the manager, Kevin was so kind as well.
The food is divine every time. I HIGHLY recommend the waffle. Probably the best waffle in the US. I also highly recommend the bacon. You know how at most breakfast places the bacon is thin and undercooked? Big Bad has thick cut, perfectly cooked bacon. I melt with every bite.
Last, but certainly not least, the hot sauce!! My partner and I buy a bottle every time we come. It’s so versatile, you can put it on anything. Breakfast, tacos, potatoes, sandwiches, meats… and I’m from Los Angeles so I’m very picky with my hot sauces.
If you’re going to breakfast, you better be going to Big Bad!
Awesome atmosphere
Our server (I wanna say something with a P?) was so patient, knowledgeable and helpful!
A little expensive for breakfast food, but the attention to detail on plates and the service quality make it worth it.
Oh, and the juice is delicious!
