Have to give a shout out to the owners of Overstreet. I called yesterday to inquire about the French onion soup because I saw it on their website. The lady on the phone told me they make different soups on different days and she asked me when I would be able to go in there and try their soups. I told her that I follow them on Facebook and then I would keep an eye out for it and would go in when I see that it’s being served. When I get on Facebook and notice that they are serving the French onion soup today! I thought that was awesome that the owners listened to the customers and brought what was wanted. So I went out there today and had her soup and it was great plus everything else that we had. Service was great, waitress was awesome, and even got to speak to the owner. Just wanted to share my great experience and wanted to thank you guys for listening to your customers and excellent customer service.

Went to dinner after work tonight, which first off finding anywhere in Cuero that is not fast food or Mexican food to eat after 7pm on a Saturday is amazing! Such a nice change up to have something different. We were the only ones in here tonight which was nice to just have the quiet, but the food! The food was hands down AMAZING! The ranch dressing, chefs kiss. The pecan crusted chicken and lemon sauce so good my husband who hates pecans ate it too. We will definitely be coming back many more times! I love having options in town so we don’t have to drive to Victoria for date nights or something different!

A welcoming home-style cooking restaurant. Different than the establishment prior. I was satisfied with my food and the prices. The host Mady was also very kind and attentive!
I had the Quail with green beans with a house salad and I was pleased with the seasoning on the green beans and the quality of meat. Tender, juicy, and at the right temperature.

This place!! Ok, the food was phenomenal but I want to talk about the service and atmosphere. When you walk in, you feel welcomed and warm, as if you have entered someone’s home. The pride involved really shines through each step of the dining experience. The cuts of the steaks and the care in each dish leaves you feeling nourished and wanting more. The owners seem to have a genuine passion for the community and we will definitely be returning. I’m including a photo of my Mahi-Mahi topped with mango pico. Chef Ramsey should come eat here.

The restaurant was nice and well decorated, but everything else was not great. First of all, when we requested a server, the host proceeded to tell us that they were fired. It left a bitter taste in my mouth when she told us that. Our server hardly came by and took forever for refills and check out. The food was cold, it was obviously old and had been sitting under heat for awhile. The chicken diablo was so dry it was inedible. We left with over half of our meal still on the plate. We were really optimistic about a new place in Cuero, but won’t be retuning after the tacky staff interactions.

First servers were as nice as could be. spent 1.5hrs here and didn’t even get food going to grab a burger across at whataburger. Appetizer was ice cold, sent back and just microwaved to about room temperature. Then we ordered 4 chicken fried steaks. They came out. It was overcooked to the point it was jerky with hard gravey. Best thing on menu was the wine we ordered because they couldn’t tamper with it. While staff was friendly I’ll avoid coming here again due to the food quality.

I had the chicken fried steak and it was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of chicken fried steaks. The flavor was amazing from the meat,the breading and the gravy and they all went together so well. All the sides I had were just as good. Friendly staff. I will be back!

3 of us for lunch, 2 people got there sandwiches, 3rd meal 20 mins later chicken showed up (very good). No green beans or mashed potatoes, green beans showed up 10 min later, reminded I had not received the mashed potatoes.
Staff could clearly see this was not good. Bill showed up not even an offer to make right. Small town restaurants need to treat everyone one like a regular, customer service in small town restaurants is how you stay in business. Could have been a bad experience if the food had not been pretty good!
