tldr: Great food, great service, great decor. Definitely among the top 3 Mexican restaurants in Cape (and I’m very picky about Mexican food, valuing authenticity the most). The food was very fresh tasting and flavorful with substantial quantity. The menu has a wide variety with clear pictures and descriptions. I highly recommend the Fajitas Brisas. Staff were friendly with well-spoken English for those that can’t speak Spanish. The interior is spacious, clean and has a comfortable atmosphere.

Las Brisas is a true gem! The food is absolutely fresh and delicious. Every dish we had was top-notch, and even the chips were warm and incredibly fresh—a small detail that makes a big difference. The crew is wonderful and provides fantastic service. If you’re looking for great Mexican in the area, this is the place to go!

We arrived at 2:45pm on a Sunday. The host sat us down and gave us chips and salsa and asked what we wanted for our drinks. At 2:05 I stood up and went to the restroom and all of the workers were sitting there and rolling napkins, finally after that they realized they forgot us and at 2:08 a different guy came and brought us cheese dip to apologize for forgetting us and said it was on the house. We finally got our waters at 2:10, 25 minutes later. People who came in at 2:05 got their food at 2:25 and we still hadn’t gotten ours. And finally at 3:34 we got our food, from who I am assuming is the manager and he didn’t apologize for it taking 49 minutes to get 1 plates of double fajitas.
I never leave below 20% tip, but I felt that we were ignored so I left a $3 tip which was 10% of our $31 total. As we walked out the host went over and grabbed the $3 I left and made a smart remarks about it to his coworkers. We go to the Scott city location weekly, and the fruitland location for every birthday in our family. After our experience at this location, I’m sad to say we won’t be back to any of their locations.

1st time customer at their Cape Girardeau location.
The staff from the moment customers enter, are super friendly.
The Jalisco Special is what I always order, it’s $19 but well worth it.
While customers are traveling the Southeast Missouri area, keep in mind there are many Las Brisas locations spread around the area.

It all seemed days old and slightly reheated. The tortilla was so old and harsh that I couldn’t cut thru it. The beef enchilada wasn’t bad but the chicken lacked any flavor at all. The cheese had a sour taste to it and the beans were pure liquid. Thankfully this was a paid lunch thru work or I’d leave a much more honest review.

Las Brisas was amazing! My significant other and I usually go at at La Luna because it’s our favorite but I think we found out new one!! Chicken cheese and rice was delicious with creamy delicious cheese sauce to die for! Absolutely make sure to eat here!

I’m not the biggest fan of Mexican Restaurants, only because Cape has so many of them. The food was good and the server was very attentive as well. My only complaint is having to pay an upcharge for using your card. I find that a bit ridiculous especially in the big 2025. Money is money at the end of the day.

Waiter acknowledged i needed a refill ignored that I wanted a refill, he sat at the bar playing on his phone. I took my cup to him and asked for a refill and when he brought it I said thank you and the waiter offered no apology and didn’t even say you are welcome. He set the glass on the table and walked away. Very poor service.

Friendly staff, but the kitchen needs time. My taco salad was a more than a half bowl of soup, *extremely* watery. I asked the waitress what was going on, she said it was… normal. I’ve had this many times at other locations, it was never a bowl of runny soup. I only ate what was floating on top. The table next to us complained twice about different things. This place needs time to get its kitchen straight.
