It’s one of those lowkey mom & pop joints that just gets it. I tried the asada and cecina, and no joke… top 3 tacos I’ve had in GR. So good.

I ordered take out, and I was pleasantly surprised with a bowl of chips and salsa for my wait. The staff as incredibly friendly and the food was worth every penny! Rice and beans exceeded expectations, and the Al Pastor was some of the best I have had in the city.

Unfortunately, this place just wasn’t for me. The food was flavorless, and the air quality inside was poor. I walked out with itchy eyes and nose, and even noticed what appeared to be dog hair, likely from the cloth seats.
I’ve given this place two tries, and it still didn’t meet expectations. While I truly enjoy supporting small businesses, this one didn’t make the cut for me. The chips seemed bagged, the salsa tasted like it was made from canned tomatoes, and the cecina lacked flavor.
The service itself was fine, and I understand everyone’s experience can be different, so I encourage others to try it for themselves. That said, this place is a no for me.

Enjoyed the flautas (12.50) , rice and beans ($3) and horchata to go. The flautas held up until I got home about 20 minutes later. They were still nice and crunchy. The green hot sauce was also good!
