Just happened to stroll into this fantastic establishment serving up ancestral cuisine of Mexico! The menu is extensive, but what caught my attention was the 6 different types of Mole traditionales! I tried the Chile Nogada, a chile rellenos con mole estilo Puebla! I’ve always wanted to try this and to see it on the menu today was a just a delight!

It turns out it’s a seasonal dish only from Mid August to early October in the city of Puebla! The owner honors that tradition and only serves it at this time. The walnut sauce is exquisite with a sweetness due to the many seasonal fruits used in the recipe! Stiffed with walnuts, amines and ground meats, I was transported the colonial cities vibrant colors and culinary flavors! What a wonderful experience and delectable delight! You must try be for the season ends! The chef came to explain its origins and the mil I layers of the flavors! Bien provecho!

Food was very good. Did not have to rely on salsa to flavor the meat. They were very generous with the food portions. The 2 carnitas tacos had enough meat for more than 4 tacos and not the mini tortilla size. The shrimp cocktail was zesty and packed with shrimp, enough for two people to enjoy. Seeing how authentic our meal was I had to try the flan and it was delightful.
The restrooms could have used some attention.

Portions are small. It’s enough to fill you , unless you have a huge stomach aka american size stomach.
This is one of the most authentic mex flavors around placing Olvera.
.
We came in right when they opened the restaurant and bar.
Service was fast and attentive.
.
Service gets slow because place fills up and they don’t have a huge staff.
.
We didn’t get food poisoning here.
We enjoyed the mole appetizers, don’t order if you’re expecting something huge.
We also got cheese with chorizo appetizer.
You can order it with tortillas.
.
Parking is limited and there is some on the street.
.
Meat here had flavor and was great tasting.
.
The music could be turned down a bit tbh, it’s the only thing we did not enjoy.
Bathroom needs a bit more upkeeping.
.
Order the quantity of tortillas you want to eat, they serve 2 each time.

I was excited to visit this restaurant and drove 50 minutes to get there. I ordered a mango margarita and was delicious. I went to the restroom and was discussed when I saw so much trash through the hallways to the bathroom, to the kitchen, and the bathroom was also discussing.
The floors were very dirty and I was there around 1:00pm
I ordered the Mixiote de Borrego, to my surprise, it was very tasty. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this restaurant again.

Went here today nov 1. Worst experience ever! Said they were full for a party of 5 was going to be 15 minute wait. When they saw us kind of looking at next store restaurant all of the sudden they had a spot. Acted like they had a full house inside since they seated us outside. Found out later they had all kinds of room inside! Food was subpar and the horchata tasted like milk with cinnamon sprinkled in it was pretty weak. Chilaquiles was not sunny side up and egg was cooked through like it was boiled not sunnyside up. family complained about their meals too. Both of my kids said it was the worst hamburger they have ever had unless you like a meat puck in grease. I have had Mexican food many times, my white grandma can make better Mexican rice than this. Went to use bathroom and the girl would not let us that sit in the front of the restaurant. DO NOT EAT HERE FOOD SUCKS, STAFF SUCKS, AND IF I COULD I WOULD TAKE BACK MY MONEY! On the plus side will not ever be going here again!

Ok, the ambience here is great!! The food is delicious!! The service was mid grade, two servers for the entire restaurant and the time from placing my order to getting my food was over an hour. Again, good food, horrible time frame. But if you don’t mind waiting, try the tinga flautas or the carnitas michoacan, both freakin delicious

Great stop off the Amtrak if you’re looking for a good, quick, and easy meal! We had an array of tacos (with house made corn tortillas) and a few margaritas.

Happy hour deal was great, the margaritas are made with fresh, with fresh squeezed ingredients and good tequila and the special is $10 margs and then a few bucks off drafts and $10 well drinks. Will bookmark this spot for future travels through this part of town!
