Smell bad and are microwaved to inedible residue. $5.89 for something I wouldn’t give to my dog!!!
How could you call this “meat”?!?
Technically it may be “meat” but certainly not appropriate for human consumption!
If you find yourself at the Arby’s in Allen, Texas, and you happen to be served by a man named Phillip, consider yourself lucky—you’ve just encountered the “unicorn” of the service industry.
As someone who has led national sales teams and spoken to audiences of thousands, I know a “closer” when I see one. But Phillip isn’t closing; he’s transferring an energy that is, quite frankly, magnetic.
The Situation
Our family was in the middle of a travel nightmare. We were driving from Northeast Missouri, dodging an unprecedented ice storm, and pushing through a grueling 10-hour marathon with two young kids just to make it to our first cruise. Every other “open” sign we saw was a fraud —until we hit Phillip’s drive-thru at 10:40 PM.
Why Phillip is “One in a Million”
• Infectious Energy: We were drained, frustrated, and facing another four hours of road time. Within sixty seconds of talking to Phillip, the entire vibe in our car shifted. He didn’t just take an order; he staged an intervention of positivity, light heartedness and humor that made me sit here, at almost 3 in the morning and write this.
• The Ultimate Professional: In my world, sales is a transfer of energy. Phillip didn’t just sell us roast beef; he sold us a second wind.
• Radical Integrity: When I tried to hand him a well-deserved tip, he was genuinely surprised and pushed back. That level of humility proves his excellence isn’t a performance—it’s just who he is.
The Verdict
I’ve traveled thousands of miles across this country, and this was, without competition, the best fast-food experience I have ever had.
> To Arby’s Corporate: Take note. Employees like Phillip are the backbone of a brand, but they are incredibly rare. He is a special dude who operates at a level far beyond the standard expectations of the industry. It will only take one right customer interaction for him to be pulled away into something bigger and more financially rewarding.
Phillip, if you’re reading this: Keep that spark. If I ever expand my business into the Dallas area, don’t be surprised if I track you down with a job offer that reflects the world-class talent you clearly possess. The offer would be, at minimum, double whatever you make. Simply because I’d want the opportunity to have you be a part of my team.
Until then, Arby’s in Allen has one of the best business assets in Texas. I hope they realize it.
We opted for a mix of their signature sandwiches, including the classic Beef ‘n Cheddar, which was as delicious as always, with the perfect balance of savory roast beef and melty cheese. The curly fries were crisp and seasoned just right, and the drinks were refreshing.
The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and family-friendly atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed, checking in on us without being intrusive.
Overall, this visit to Arby’s exceeded our expectations. Great service, tasty food, and a welcoming environment made it a memorable dining experience for my family and me. We’ll definitely be coming back!
The filthy windows. Dead and out of control landscaping, dull paint and torn up parking lot. Not a appealing place to get something to eat. Sad.
