I was referred by Christian over at Metro by T-Mobile store near by. I cam in Merlos greeted me with a smile. I felt welcome right away. I took his time explaining the menu to me. I ordered & food came out hot & delicious. I ordered an additional side of beans & rice & he did not charge me. I felt like V. I. P. i will be back for sure. This is a hidden gem of Irving Texas. Thank you… I am full & the food is fresh & the restaurant is very clean. I will tell many others about this place.

Used to love their pupusas but lately they are not so good anymore. The past few one had been kind of ok but we got some this week and it was a bad combiniation of very soggy/all over the place and some were burnt, you could tell cheese had gotten out big time to the comal.
Oh and lady quoted me a certain time and since I would always be there on time and they would make me wait an extra ten to fifteen minutes, I now know better and I prefer for the food to wait for me. Well the previous two times I have ordered, the very rude girl tells me to go get the food but the way she says it, she could definitely use some good customer service. And it’s been no more then the 5 min past the time she quoted me 25-30 min.
And I completely agree with the other reviews, They used to be affordable, now it’s expensive,

This was our go to spot months ago. Food was great, service was always awesome and prices were reasonable. We went today and the salvadoran lady serving us was terrible, it looked like she didn’t want to be there, served us cold coffee and seemed bothered when we asked for more creamer. Prices are outrageously high now, and our food was warm/cold. The pan de Pollo we always get was bitter, probably the repollo was bad. My mom and I wasted $40 for just the two of us! Sad how downhill this place has gone.

The pupusas here are incredible. I always get myself a large serving of them and they’ve always tasted just as great as the last time. The staff here are very kind as well, constantly checking the area and asking customers if they need anything.
Only downside is that there’s usually a noticable delay for the food to arrive, and that the place is a bit small, including the tables and booths. Maybe by removing a few tables, there could be enough room for remaining booths or tables.
