Chiang Mai is a joint I honestly didn’t even know existed. I’m not a big fan of Thai food in general but recently, we made a visit here since the reviews looked good.
Came at around 5:30 PM on a Saturday and they weren’t busy and had plenty of tables. We sat outside and our waiter was super friendly and attentive to our table. We started with the calamari and dumplings as an appetizer. The calamari was decent, the dumplings were pretty good.
I settled for the Crab Fried Rice as my entree. I was overall super impressed! The portions are huge too and I couldn’t even finish it. The crab was fresh and the rice was great too.
Overall, if you’re in Broad Ripple looking for a great Thai restaurant, this is the place!

Very nice taste. I ordered spice level hot and it was up to the expectation which I wanted. Quantity of one portion can be increased by 10-15%. Apart from that service and quality is on point.

Not sure how this place isn’t packed all the time. Some of the best food I have had anywhere. The decor could use an update, but the service was top notch.

Don’t order the Thai noodle soup, as it was pretty much disgusting and the beef in it was dry and hard. Flavor of the soup was simply off-putting. I ordered spice level 3 of 6, and it tasted more like spice level -1. Worst Thai noodle soup experience ever. Giving 3 stars because the waitress was great and tried to correct the soup situation. Additionally, all non soup dishes were pretty good. Not sure I would ever go back based on how horrible the soup was, as that is my favorite thing to order at Thai restaurants. If soup is not your thing, you should enjoy got experience here.

We got L2 Pad See Ewe.
My girlfriend got all 3 broccoli pieces. I got the single bok choy piece (YUM! I LOVE bok choy!) and we each got one or two carrot pieces.
We had enough noodles left over for lunch today…
So um, if you like noodles or if you missed my sarcasm, it tasted great but it was probably 80% noodles, 15% meat, and 5% vegetables.
Would not recommend. Bleh
Edit: The other photos of the food look pretty good! We did not think to take a photo of ours.

Best Thai food I’ve had since moving to Indy 17 years ago. Shockingly not busy on a great weather Saturday just before spring. A little off the main roads which is the only reason I can imagine why. Parking available right out front, and absolutely terrific food. One of the best Thai iced teas I’ve had anywhere, and fast, attentive service. Hope to be back soon.

My husband and I love Asian cuisine and we were having a hard time finding a decent Asian restaurant until we stumbled upon Chiang Mai Thai Noodle. So far, we’ve ate here twice and both times the food was out of this world! The owner, Johnny, is so friendly and personable. He takes pride in his restaurant and it shows! The last time we went, my husband had the orange chicken, and I had tasty eggplant which is an eggplant and vegetable dish with your choice of chicken, beef, shrimp or tofu. I went with beef and we really enjoyed our food. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys Thai food or Asian cuisine because this restaurant also serves sushi.

This used to be my favorite place. Ever since they started also serving sushi, I don’t understand why, EVERYTHING has gone down hill. My dish always used to be the Pad Kra Prow with juicy delicious chicken and spiced just how I love it. Now it looks like they might be using ground chicken but I’m not sure it’s even actual chicken. Spring rolls now have seaweed in them and everything is so salty it’s inedible. I’m purely gutted that my favorite Thai place is no more.

Holy moly… this place oh my god. If you want some authentic and incredibly delicious Thai food, do yourself a favor and eat here. The atmosphere is great, Johnny/Johnnie who served us is extremely friendly and funny! He was working alone the day we came and he was able to get us our food and drinks in great time, when we were done with our soup/salads he took those away and immediately replaced them with our entrees (I got the duck noodle soup, the duck was delicious and tender ugh so good, my partner got the thom yum soup with tofu he couldn’t stop until it was all gone!) and did the same when he brought our dessert, which was the fried banana with mango ice cream! My stomach is happy as well as my tastebuds. The check didn’t hurt the wallet either! 10/10 highly recommend.

We normally order takeout but decided to stop in today. The Thai dumplings are a bit different than I remember but still delicious. As always, the tofu pad Thai is delicious and we were adventurous and ordered orange chicken as well which was also very good. However, i think I will stay with takeout since I swear you get more pad Thai that way. Overall, still a delicious place!
