This was one of my most favorite random stops of my trip. I was just looking for a bathroom but I stumbled upon family… well, they treated me like family anyway. I ended up staying for the dinner buffet that was just like my Granny made it. My goodness it was good. I definitely hope I get to return some day soon!!

Stumbled across this gem while exploring the area around Mammoth cave. I was charmed by the old building and decided to eat an early lunch here with the fam before hiking the caves. We all ordered cheesburgers and fries/onion rings and drinks and it cost less than a fast food joint. It was a nice homey atmosphere, great service and a great homemade burger. My kiddos say it was even better than Grandmas so that means 11/10 would recomended.
Sadly, I didn’t notice the sign that said they had fried green tomatoes until I was on the way out, might have to drive the 4 hours to come back and try them 😉 If we find ourselves in the area again we will definitely come back by.

We called ahead so that we wouldn’t have to wait. We arrive 20 minutes later to find out they don’t start cooking it until we get there. What’s the point of calling ahead? Then we get home with the food and it tastes like it was cooked on a dirty grill. Trust me there are better local options for food that are prepared much more sanitary and fresher taste.
The attitudes of the staff waiting on you and serving is a “we don’t care” mentality. It should be clear that the lazy unconcerned attitude of the staff will reflect it’s cleanliness.
Avoid this place. You were warned.

Quick stop for food after a cave tour we had done and it did not disappoint. Easy going atmosphere which I really appreciate. Friendly service, good prices, tasty food. You really can’t go wrong with this little diner. Recommend the patty melts and fried pickles!

What a neat place! The prices are so affordable. The folks that work here are genuine and sincere. The food is simple, proper food. Had a cheese burger and fries.
