Amazing food! Great portions. With fair prices for seafood this far inland. A MUST try if ever in the Pittsburgh area. I recommend making reservations, to guarantee a table. The atmosphere was quite intimate.

We have had many wonderful meals here, most recently for our anniversary and we had some of the best steaks and seafood around! The Alaskan King Crab legs and Lobster Bisque were to die for. Always a great experience and food. One of our favorite local spots!!

We made a 6:30 PM reservation for our anniversary on Friday and arrived on time. When we walked in, the host greeted us and said someone would be with us shortly, then disappeared into the bar area. We waited several minutes with no return and eventually had to go find someone ourselves. After mentioning our reservation, he walked us into the dining area to realize that someone was seated at our reserved table. There was another table about to leave and were told a table in the dining room was being cleared and would be ready in a few minutes. We were sent back to the front to wait again.
Shortly after, another couple arrived for a 6:45 reservation and stood behind us. We were then told our table was ready—but instead of the dining room, we were seated at a small, wobbly bar-top table. When I asked why, especially after being told a dining room table was being prepared, the waiter informed us that table had been given to the other couple.
At that point we were extremely frustrated. We rarely get date nights, and this was supposed to be a special anniversary dinner. We decided to stay because we were hungry and had been looking forward to ordering the signature tomahawk combo and drinks.
A few minutes after taking our order, the server returned to tell us they were out of the tomahawk. On a Friday 7 PM. He offered to substitute it with two smaller steaks. Disappointed but wanting to move forward with the evening, we agreed.
When the food arrived, it was almost comical trying to fit everything on the tiny bar table. The food itself was just okay—nowhere near as good as our first visit, which is why we chose this restaurant for such an important night in the first place.
The final frustration came with the bill: we were charged for the tomahawk despite receiving the substitute steaks, and there was no discount or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. We spent well over $300 to sit at a wobbly bar table with poor service and underwhelming food.
The entire experience was incredibly disappointing. Reservations weren’t honored, there was no apology or accommodation, and the kitchen ran out of a signature item early in prime dinner service. This was supposed to be a memorable anniversary, and instead it was a frustrating night.
Sadly, we won’t be returning and would not recommend this restaurant based on this experience

Very good food, but nothing complimentary (ie: bread or water). It was my birthday but so what as far as they were concerned. We were in the dining room and pretty much forgotten about I guess because the bar area (front room) was where everyone was. Maybe better service when busy (Wed is when we were there). And for the price you would think they could spend a little bit on some glassware (not plastic cups). Food outstanding! Expensive, but worth it.

Highly recommend! We made reservations a week ahead. When we walked in our table was ready with our name on it. Service was fast and fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing! The portions are HUGE! For a party of 4 we averaged $51 a person (food/drink/tax/tip) You will not leave hungry and you will go home with a doggy bag for sure. They do serve a craft keg beer and change it up between kegs. I found out about this place from Facebook recommendations, and I’m so glad we gave it a try. Driving by you would never know it’s there, unless you are local of course. We drove about 30 minutes and GPS took us to the exact location so it’s also easy to find. We went on a Thursday at 6pm.

If this place isn’t in your rotation, it definitely should be! Amazing food, small little place with a relaxed environment. Not a super fancy place. Modeled after actual lobster shacks in the New England area. The portions are huge here. Lobster is perfectly cooked and served with drawn butter. The steak is pretty good. It’s not Morton’s quality, but it goes great with the lobster! The mushrooms are really good but there are a lot of them. The shrimp is flavored beautifully and they are cooked perfectly.
