Great little ice cream shop in Tavares! The atmosphere is very fun and welcoming, and the place has a really charming vibe. The girls working behind the counter were very friendly and attentive, serving everyone with a smile and creating a great experience for visitors.
The ice cream itself was delicious — lots of good flavors and everything tasted fresh and enjoyable. Our whole family really liked it. The milkshake was good too, although it could probably be blended a little longer, but that’s a small detail and something easy to improve.
Overall we had a great time stopping here during our weekend visit to Tavares. Tasty ice cream, a fun atmosphere, and friendly service. Wishing the team the best of luck with their business in this lovely small town!

Took my daughter to Poppy’s for some ice cream. Just a fantastic little ice cream shop! Lots of delicous flavors to choose from. Then lots of topping options to add. Don’t forget about cake cone, waffle cone or cup. The even had a very small size (which was perfect).
My little one got a cake cone with 2 scoops, one superman and one cookie monster. We also got a cup of Sea Salt Carmel Swirl.both super delicious .
Staff was very friendly. Greeted us with a friendly hello & smile, as we entered. Helpful. And thanked us for coming, as we left.
Inside has very fun decor. Nicely decorated with a modern yet old timey parlor, with added touch of carousel horses. We sat inside the hot air balloon booth!!
Definitely recommend making a stop at Poppy’s. We will return again with the family.

Super cute ice cream shop with friendly workers. We got the Voyager which was a bubble waffle sundae. The waffle was warm and soft and the ice cream and toppings were delicious. Prices are very reasonable.

Had the toasted coconut ice cream, it was super good! But the portion was laughable. I got a medium which was three extremely tiny scoops. I thought I was given a small at best (more like a kiddie cup) before I heard the worker confirm the amount to another customer. Worth a try, but that’s sad.

I am Ice cream fan, been trying many places around the states and so far one in Kentucky was my favorite until today!
Poppys is really soft creamy and tasty ice cream without this peculiar aftertaste that many others leave in your mouth.

My family has been to Poppy’s several times and the staff has always been extremely friendly. There are always tons of flavors and toppings to choose from. I would highly recommend Poppy’s for anyone looking for a delicious dessert!
