Top bakery/bread in Worcester! A co-op of young entrepreneurs with different businesses occupying an old industrial building. The Wooden Bakery is one of the more recent members of this collective, offering a selection of breads and other baked goods, coffee and tea. Indoor bar and table seating; ample parking in the back of the building (where the bakery and bar entrance is). People in the local community seem to have caught on to the quality of goods here as some items sell out immediately. At night, the Wooden Bar (in the adjacent space) comes alive. The business collective includes a construction business, a ceramics studio, growing organically —- the very type of organization that is likely to thrive in the future. Note: if arriving by car, best to use Google Maps or other navigation software to find the place (at least initially). Handicapped accessible. Highly recommend: Bread loaves (all of them amazing!); almond croissants; mushroom and cheese croissants; ham and cheese croissants; quiches; baguettes; coffee (excellent roasts). Wooden Bakery bread dipped in high quality olive oil is crazy good! #worcesterexperience #coop #localbusiness

I probably shouldn’t be posting this review yet because I’m still high on the effects of the the magical food this place just sold me. Go get some of the best flaky pastries in Worcester. It’s been around for a year and I am just now learning about it because it seems like “Wooden Bar” is the primary title that comes up in searches. We had some breakfast croissants along with a pecan bun and cheese Danish. Sacré blue it’s delicious!

We bought a bunch of different pastries to try. Every single one of them was delicious! The combinations were unique, the pastry was buttery but light and generous in size. They also had the best quiche we’ve ever had. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

If you haven’t tried Wooden Bakery yet, do yourself a favor and do so. It’s a very unassuming place tucked inside Wooden Bar on Knowlton Ave. This place is a gem to be sure. I tried several of their pastries and all were outstanding. I’ve been to many French bakeries around the US and Europe and this is a close tie for one of my all time favs. Their croissants are perfection. The staff are super friendly. Don’t miss out! I think I have to go back again tomorrow

Best pastries in Worcester, hands down. Best pastries in Worcester since I moved here in 2006. Eat at Wooden Bakery and live forever. (Plus if you get a catering order for a meeting you’ll be the most popular person at work)

Amazing!!! We are so excited to have found this wonderful bakery so close by. Wooden Bakery is a gem, and we can’t wait to return. The shrimp pie and guava brioche were especially fantastic.

Hands down, the best bakery in Worcester. You can’t convince me otherwise. Wooden Bakery has a strong following of people who recognize the difference in quality. Seriously.
Every morning they have a different selection of specialty pastries, breads and sandwiches. I love ham and cheese croissant, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and baguettes. They sometimes offer pizza, it’s seriously perfection.
Pass on the BirchTree/Crust conglomerate. Run don’t walk to Wooden Bakery, get there early (8-9am) for their best selection, when they run out for the day, they run out! Look for the yellow sign out front that directs you to the entrance in the back of the building. Plenty of parking.

Delicious bakery with authentic French items. My wife is from France and was very happy with the quality and selection. Everything is delicious we’ve tried and she can’t wait to bring her parents next time they visit from France.
