The patio bar and grill sits atop the hill off main street in Port Washington. Great place for outdoor dining on a nice day or evening.
Kind of a combination old bar with a newer add on restaurant and a very nice patio for enjoying outdoor dining.
We went for Fish fry Friday. A very good selection of fish including walleye, perch, bluegill, cod and shrimp. There is a nice combination platter and baskets as well as full dinners.
The dinners were more than enough.
We had the cheese curds and onion strings for appetizers. Both very good and made fresh. Not frozen.
We enjoyed the patio seating area. Large and comfortable.
Give this one a try. We enjoyed it!

Can’t understand the low ratings – must be whiners. In from out-of-town & happened upon this place. Servers were gracious & attentive. Surprisingly expansive menu, with tasty surprises like spicy meatballs. Too many items to choose from. The pizza would be highly recommended – very thin crust & crispy not at all soggy. Overall, very pleasant experience. Oh, & try their pies – delicious.

We ate here yesterday (5-26-25), wanted to try something new for Memorial Day weekend and to celebrate being in the service. We had the worst experience eating here and will never go back. It was around 2pm, we went inside instead of eating on the patio because we were outside in the sun all morning. We walked in and nobody was in the dining room. There was a worker that came from the bar area and looked at us like why are we in there. We seated ourselves. There was no music or tv on and was really quiet in the room, so quiet you could hear each other eat. We had to ask for refills, after about 30 minutes the server brought out my sons cheese curds that were supposed to be with his meal. After about an hour our food was served! None of us ordered anything that should’ve taken that long. Even if food took longer than normal our drinks should’ve been filled or our table should’ve been maintained. If there was going to be that long of a wait we also should’ve been given a heads up there was a long wait. Our server was disconnected like she didn’t want to serve us and when we left the cook was outside having a cigarette. I can’t even tell you how the food was from the horrible experience this was for our family. Same your money and don’t waste your time at this place.

With so many restaurants making changes to their fish fries by taking away this our shrinking that, I wasn’t sure what to expect at The Patio since it’s been a couple years since I’ve been in there last. The last I remember is that it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Since that last visit though, they seem to have made a change for the better. The fish (I went with the pike) was a big enough portion and cooked very well. The tartar sauce was blah, but the fish was so good, I didn’t really need it. The steak fries were spot on as well. A very good meal for the price and I will be going back again soon!

Spent the weekend in town, we have stopped for years enroute to Door from Elgin for gas, breakfast, etc.
Figured we should just come up for the weekend & not just drive thru!
This was our 2nd stop for booze after supper friday night. Love the wings! Drinks poured heavy and 5 minutes after we were here we were treated like locals!!

Came for the fish fry & it was excellent! We have not had a bad meal since moving to the area 6 months ago, but this knocked our socks off! We had pike, Mahi Mahi & cod sandwich. They were all great & flaky. The sides were excellent as well. Our waitress was Bailey & she was phenomenal:) the atmosphere is very nice, more upscale than a typical bar & grill. There’s a lot of seating and space to move. We will definitely put The Patio in our regular rotation.
