I had a wonderful experience at Providence Oyster Bar in East Greenwich. The restaurant has a great vibe—modern, upscale, and inviting. Every dish we ordered was fresh and delicious, especially the oysters and seafood entrees. A big plus was their Appy Hour, including the “Buck-a-Shuck” raw bar—it was definitely a highlight and made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive, though it was a bit busy during our visit, so timing was slightly slower than expected. The drink menu is impressive, and the raw bar offerings are top-notch.
Overall, I would definitely come back for another seafood night. Everything was great, though a few items were on the pricier side.

Had a magical Valentine’s Day dinner here with my wife. The staff was incredible, making themselves available for all of our needs. The appetizer and raw bar came out very quickly with our drinks which I always appreciate. Are waiter was very but still made time for us to make sure you are having a wonderful evening. Management was also very helpful and kind throughout the night. On a night where they probably received more guests than usual they over delivered. Highly recommend and will be going again.

I came here for my friends birthday. We enjoyed our meal. Danielle was our waitress, she was great! The lobster roll, steamers and bacon wrapped scallops were so good! The drinks were great. We had to have dessert, the lemon cake was amazing!! I highly recommend this restaurant!

10/10 Phenomenal experience! The service, food, & drinks were incredible. Upscale atmosphere and experience. I wish I knew the server and managers name (we dined 9:30pm on 1/16/26) because they were extremely kind and attentive, and didn’t rush us at all especially with us being the last customers leaving near 11pm, coming after visiting family at the hospital. We had the Bloody Mary shooter, Sicilian lemonade, local raw oysters, baked stuffed lobster, and pistachio ricotta cake (recommend by our server) with an espresso martini. Each and every bite was amazing and cooked perfectly. This past week we have dealt with the death of one of our family members while another is in the hospital with cancer and several complications. Now that our family member has finally stabilized and got in a good place we finally decided to treat ourselves and our experience truly made our week and was a genuine delight in such a difficult time. Thank you for everything and can’t wait to come back.

The food was phenomenal, the best oysters and calamari ever very elegant quiet and warm atmosphere. We sat at the bar during happy hour. It will not be our last trip. There’s an extensive menu with reasonable prices for the quality of food they present.

Favorite spot for raw bar and buck a shuck. Fresh oyster and clams. Great service and bartenders. Love the black and blue martini and the Happy hour apps. Large bar with lots of indoor seating. Always a fun time at PVOB! Nice stop on the bike tour.

A decent seafood restaurant if you’re looking to avoid the more tourist-driven spots. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and well-timed throughout the meal. The food is fresh and a solid choice overall. Just don’t come expecting waterfront ambiance; instead of ocean views, you’ll be looking out at the main road.

We enjoyed a wonderful Valentines Day lunch. Service was wonderful. My salmon/mash tatoes/greenbeans were deeeeelish. My husbands fish & chips not so great – overcooked. Apps – Baby stuffed artichokes and clams casino where fantastic, although served luke warm. Overall we will be back – I still have to try the famous lobster bisque!
