The Mustard Seed at Sydney’s is a family-friendly coffee shop + cafe, a community spot serving coffee, sandwiches, bakery items located on Opelika Rd in Phenix City next to Sydneys Shoppe of Beauty. We proudly serve Gypsy Goat Coffee that is freshly roasted to our doorstep. We have an in-house menu of delicious items and team with local vendors to add an assortment of pastries & goods. We offer indoor & outdoor seating. This cozy space is perfect for all- students studying, small groups, & a work-from-home alternative. We also love working with local bands, vendors, & other small business owners to make The Mustard Seed at Sydney’s an amazing experience. The Avocado Toast is delicious! The service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy. There are books to share, board games and cozy seating and tables to relax or work. 10 out of 10 recommend!
Don’t let the outside fool you. You almost drive past this place because it’s off the road a little but it’s absolutely adorable inside. So is the salon attached next door!!

Let me just start by saying this is the best edition to Smiths Station. It’s rare to find a coffee shop that is Christian based let alone a coffee shop with such amazing coffee! The staff is beyond friendly and always helpful when stopping in. They have a book club you can join, amazing snacks, and a comfortable place to relax/play games/ study in. We stop by here two-three times a week.

Oh.my.gosh!!! Absolutely delicious.
It was so good I told my husband I’m in trouble because they just got a new regular. It was better than Starbucks! The prices are reasonable which I definitely appreciate and will keep me going back.
The atmosphere was lovely and I loved the Christian theme and prayer table. Such a beautiful thing to have in a coffee shop!

5 stars for a reason. Absolutely the best cafe around. Best coffee, food, and people! The atmosphere is so Instagram worthy too, just beautifully unique decor. I love the salon and the shop too- they sell local artisan items like honey, crocheted clothes, and other goodies! Seriously our favorite place and I’d spend every day here if I could!

I frequent this cafe alot since it opened bc it’s close to me. I love their themed lattes and I typically get great service. But it is not unusual for the shop to be out of something. Like often enough that I decided to make this review. Either out of avocado or pimento dressing or a syrup and can’t make the drink I requested. I would encourage whoever does the ordering to check frequently or develop a system where you’re on top of making sure you what you need to serve your customers. Otherwise, great atmosphere and I like that it has the boutique attached .
