Amazing- saw this place and tik tok and as a Ghanaian wanted to try it ! I was not disappointed! Food banging – so much so I didn’t take any pictures after starting my mini blog ! I had kehbab, jollof as a main which came with kelewele, lamb suya salad. My friend had goat light soup – all authentic flavours !!

Comfort food. Tastes good. Goat is excellent. Helpful owner who immigrated 23 years ago from Ghana making Gaithersburg great and makes sure every customer is served timely. Great experience in cute town of Gaithersburg. Thank you for the puff puff.

I ordered takeout/delivery. Not a great value. All the main items are around 25.00 You get tons of rice and a few pieces of meat, and some lettuce on the side with ranch already on it. The food has tons of flavor and the plantain was delicious but don’t consider this a great dining experience at all because of the price. What you see in the pictures is lots of sauce or gravy, it’s not meat.

First time in the area and hands down satisfied. Ordered egusi with beef and jollof rice. They went ham in that kitchen cause all the spices and flavors are mashing perfectly. My new favorite spot.

This is my second time trying their food and I must say it’s not for me. A friend recommended this place for waakye so my first visit, I ordered waakye, jollof, and fish pie. The fish pie is the star of the restaurant, that’s it-everything else was barely seasoned and the stew for the waakye was bitter. My second order (figured it was just a bad cooking day for them my last visit) was for beans and fish, chicken pie, meat pie and bofrot. I tried the chicken pie (not pictured) in the car and it was terrible, I had to throw it out. It’s being seasoned with something that doesn’t belong in a pie-looked like coarse black pepper but it didn’t taste like it. Also, the bofrot tasted like the oil has not been changed in a long time. The fish for the beans also is being seasoned with something that completely threw my taste buds off, had to trash it. The beans were edible but just okay and the plantain was cooked to perfection. I’m afraid to taste the meat pie (pictured). I’m quite disappointed because I really wanted to love this place but not for me. I do have to congratulate them on keeping the restaurant clean.

I was very disappointed ☹️ with the presentation of the food. I use to go there for lunch when I was in MD, especially when they first open until I moved. I paid $24.32 for this!!!! Twice of how much it used to cost, which is not the problem. Three pieces of Frozen fish, half cook plaintain that I had to refried, etc. I was so excited to stop by because I was in the area but never again!!! What happened to the whole fish and better presentation. Consistency and presentation is everything.

I’m truly disappointed with their dishes. They are way too overpriced! 3 pieces of fish should not be $20! The fish was plain, and the yucca (cassava) was not even cooked! I’m never coming to this place again! It’s not worth it!
Food 1/5 I would give it less!

Very simple and very nice place. Has a good music and good service. I told the sir in the front it was my first time trying the food and he help me to figure out what to order. I tried a ginger juice, tasty but too strong -im not used to it haha. The food was excellent i asked for fufu with peanut butter chicken. If you want to try something different its a nice option 🙂

I was excited to try this place as it was highly recommended. But save your money and time this place is so not worth it, spent almost $100 for this, customer service don’t exist at all. There was hardly any egusi in this soup , it was all collard greens and lots of onions, asked for goat meat but got beef even after I complained it was over looked. If I could give a 0 star I would, but take it from me spare yourself from this nightmare. Highly disappointed ☹️ is an understatement.

I was a little skeptical to try this place, since it has a lot of bad reviews, especially for customer service.
I was really happy with my experience. The man at the counter was extremely pleasant and the food was incredible. So glad I tried! I have been wanting to try fufu for a really long time, and it was worth the wait. SO delicious.
