We went on a Monday afternoon in 5 or 6 years since we’ve been here. They’ve done an amazing job expanding. There’s a resort, casino restaurant, The tasting room, and a banquet wedding venue. All located on a gorgeous property. When you get to The tasting room here but sounds like gunshots don’t be alarmed. It’s just the air cannons they use to scare animals away from the vines. They offered $3 draft beers. Buy one Get one free dessert! $75 date night special. Highly recommend the cheese and fruit platter. As well as the tiramisu and red velvet cake. Check it out in the pictures.

The atmosphere takes you back to the charm of a California winery. They have extremely good service and a wonderful menu cooked to perfection. I personal enjoyed the tour of the cave venue.

We keep giving it another chance because we love the atmosphere, but the food and service are so bad, we will not waste anymore money. Even when it is not crowded it takes forever for food. When they bring it, they never remember silverware so you have to wait for someone to finally get back with that. Today I ordered the Philly steak sandwich. When it finally came the veggies, meat and cheese were all ice cold as though they just came out of a fridge but the bread was done. I sent it back as it was colder than room temperature. When it came back the bread was burnt to black. I was told they couldn’t get the steak and veggies warm without burning the bread. I have never left food without at least eating part of it but tonight I did. It is a shame as the venue is beautiful and the wines are great.

We were quite disappointed to find such a limited pub menu for a birthday dinner with friends, since we saw many great entree options on the website. We sat across the room from the band and it was still too loud to talk. We won’t be back.

Walkers Bluff had a good selection of locally produced wines both white and red. The service was outstanding and the staff was very knowledgeable about their wines and the production of those wines. Dinner was also very good having had the chicken sandwich/salad. The chicken was juicy and charred just right. The prices were very reasonable.

I have never been one to complain about service workers. I will make up every excuse as to why something was poorly and it isn’t their faults. But every single possible thing was awful. Waiting an hour and a half just to get a side salad with almost zero dressing? A single water pitcher for a 20 top? Room was nearly 80°. Multiple meals were incorrect, most were cold (including the plate!), my medium rare steak was PURPLE. Two guests had to leave early, never even got their food cause it took over an hour and a half to come out. Servers were confused the entire time. The young man we saw mainly around the bar area was trying so hard to fix it all. When approached about all this, the manager acted like he was clueless and was “going to look into it” and then disappeared. Only came up to us on our way out after he realized one of us left a bad review, to which he tried to blame us for being early (10min and we sent someone ahead of time to make sure it was okay) and the other large party for being late(?).
Today was my graduation. But instead of being able to focus on celebrating with my family we had to deal with all of this. And then to still expect us to pay their automatic gratuity? No offers of discounts, reparations, etc? And then to BLAME US? There were two 4-6 top tables in the main room when we arrived. We watched multiple others be sat and served before we even got our side salads. I cannot recommend this place in the slightest. Truly put a damper on what was supposed to be a really big day. I hope in the future you do your staff a favor and book more than two servers, 3 kitchen staff, and one bartender to handle a main dining area and two large parties. Beyond disappointing.

This is our new favorite restaurant in the Carbondale area! All of the food was amazing and the drinks were awesome. Our waitress gave us great service and made many honest recommendations that we took and loved. The restaurant has a cave in the back that they let us explore and it was a fun addition to the evening. The prices were very reasonable ($13 for the burger/side, $27 awesome rib eye/salad/side, $6-8 drinks) and we were impressed with everything we ordered. I highly recommend this place (and the chocolate cake!) for a nice dinner!
