Food was really good here and it was so good I forgot to take pics!! If you like your food really spicy go beyond the very hot. Wasn’t that hot. Chicken korma, papadum and eggplant dish was really good. Veggie appetizer platter was yummy.

This has been my favorite Indian restaurant in the Twin Cities for the past 5 years I’ve lived here. Never had to wait for a table. Friendly servers. Delicious food. I’m a vegetarian, and my partner is gluten free, and we both have tons of options. Try the matar paneer and strawberry frappe! This place is underrated.

I love going to Tamarind! Great food, Great service, Great employees. All the food here exceeds the expectations of the low cost you pay for it and the restaurant itself is beautiful. All the food at the restaurant is great and tastes just as it is described. The warm aroma of the restaurant engulfs your table and embodies the culture perfectly. A must visit restaurant for those who love Indian Food.

We had a wonderful time at Tamarind Indian Cuisine. The food was fantastic, and the service made us feel right at home. The salmon tandoori was the highlight—rich, juicy, and full of flavor. The Dory dish was also satisfying and delicious. And the naan basket always piping hot and bursting with flavor was perfect pairing with the curry. It was a great way to spend an afternoon with the family, sharing good food and even better company.

Great food. Loved the taste. We had lamb curry and it was perfectly cooked. The meat was tender and juicy.

Bland bland bland! I’ve never had such bad Indian food before and didn’t think you could mess up Indian food.

While the space is semi upscale and nice, the food doesn’t match the aesthetic.

I ordered the chicken vindaloo (hot) and not only was it not spicy but it had no flavor. I asked for hot sauce (twice because the first person I asked forgot) and even that wasn’t hot. The rice was bland and not salted enough and the naan was dry and you guessed it- bland. Tried some of the goat biryani that someone else ordered and it wasn’t the burst of flavor I’m used to and there was barely meat on the bones.

Service was also slow and impersonal. The only decent thing I had here was the mango lassi.

Sad that there are some people who try food from here and think this is authentic Indian cuisine.

Delicious lunch. We enjoyed chicken josh, lamb curry, and beef masala (my favorite of the 3)… But everything we saw on every table looked (and smelled) amazing. “Medium” level spicy was fairly mild. $15-20 per plate isn’t bad for Indian food!

We finally decided to try this restaurant. We have passed it many times and have wanted to give it a shot.

We give it a 3 out of 5. First off, the impression on entering to retrieve the take-out was that no one acknowledged me. I kept trying to make eye contact with any of the staff, but they just kept walking past me? It’s not a good first impression.

We ordered the bread basket, the breads were sub-par, and the paneer naan was over-spiced (never expected so much spice in a paneer naan – they should have added that spice to the food…).

The butter chicken had at least day-old chicken in it, and it was rubbery and contained lots of cartilage. The paneer saag was bland and had very little paneer in it. The serving size of the rice was the best part of the meal – the main dish sizes were skimpy! (See photo).

We’ll be going to our usual spot going forward – the quality of the food here was definitely not worth the price.

I’m not an expert on how Indian food should taste, but I do know they have great food here. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. The staff was very friendly, patient (I have some questions) and attentive. I’m a huge fan of tandoori chicken and they didn’t disappoint.
