We went to the Cabin Tavern to try their smash burgers. I was STARVING. I was thrilled to see their prices. We got the deluxe cheeseburger and fries. The burger was good, but not that big. The fries were just ok. There is no table service so you have to go to the bar to order or get refills. The bar is cute, inexpensive, dark, and feels like a bit of Bellingham history. I recommend going but order two burgers if you’re really hungry.

Update: I don’t know if it was a one off, smallish burger, but I’ve been back multiple times and the burger has been excellent and normal sized. So 5 stars from this previously slightly disgruntled reviewer.
Original review: The burger used to be really good, but they cut the size and quality. Totally understand inflation and rising costs but new burger sucks, just keep the original and raise the price. Everyone would pay more to keep quality consistent.

Went by to The Cabin Tavern today to have some burgers and beer. The prices are perfect, the burger is the perfect size bar burger. The fries were fantastic and the service was impeccable. No problem getting a seat even on a Friday night, even though the bar was nice and full. Definitely recommend coming down to the cabin Tavern for some beers burgers and fries.

This place is amazing, but a bit inconsistent in the kitchen. Who ever the girl in the bandana is should run a clinic with the 2 guys we had cooking over the weekend because she knocks it out of the park and the weekend guys literally flatten the burgers after they were wrapped before serving. Someone should mention a smash burger doesn’t mean smash it after it’s wrapped lol.. shoutout to the bartenders they do good work, we will be back.

First off, double burgers are legit and that’s before talking about great price point. Solid noise for a great vibe, fun staff, and legit never a complaint from me. Drinks are priced awesome as well. Don’t miss it in the neighborhood.

Came in a couple of weeks ago with my boyfriend and we fell in love with this bar. We love the interior, the low lighting, the drink selection, and the music!!! I was super excited to see they have Tumalo cider. My boyfriend moved to bham last summer and we regret not coming in sooner!!

Waited over an hour for my order. Bartenders were rude and dismissive when I asked about it. To make things worse, when the food finally came out, the cook threw it at me, and it landed on the floor. I wish I were exaggerating, but unfortunately this actually happened. Unreal treatment of customers. Skip this dump.
The owner’s emoji responses to reviews is childish. I can see why the staff act the way they do. I’m sure many people will laugh when this shitty little burger bar goes out of business.

The Cabin Tavern is an old school bar in Bellingham. This place has been a staple downtown for decades. It went from a Tavern to a full bar some time ago, with great burgers and fries. Front and back covered patios, lots of seating, and super friendly staff. I went back for the first time in 25+ years, and it was just as fabulous. A nice mixture of all walks of life, not your local college bar, but a great local bar for the old school Bellingham folks. Thanks for still be a staple of Bellingham.

I’ve gone three times now and two out of three of the times they haven’t been serving food. The first time they ran out of patties on a Friday night three hours from close (understandable enough) but the second time they said they had stopped serving food and it was an hour and a half from close. On top of that, the bartenders in general are snappy and dismissive- some of the worst service in town. It’s an okay spot and the food really is delicious IF you manage to be able to get some. But I’d rather go to one of the many other bars in town to hang out for drinks.
