Rice was mushy. Not terrible sushi but it was really mushy. Pricey in my opinion as well but again for fast quick sushi not bad.

I ordered delivery from Sarku Japan, and it exceeded my expectations! The food arrived hot and fresh, and the portions were incredibly generous—definitely enough for leftovers. The chicken teriyaki was packed with flavor, perfectly grilled, and paired well with the rice and vegetables. Everything was well-packaged, and the delivery was on time.

If you’re looking for a delicious, filling meal that doesn’t skimp on portion size, Sarku Japan is a great choice. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

Stopped here after shopping at Walmart. Decided to try the beef teriyaki with salad, beef, steamed rice, dumplings and 4 pieces of California roll. Beef is tender, salad comes with ginger dressing, (forgettable), dumplings are moist, slightly crispy but no dipping sauce. California roll comes with wasabi but no soy sauce. Cost $13.50 not a bad lunch, but also not very memorable.

this sarku is TERRIBLE. i’ve had countless of problems with this place. first i walked in one day and i waited in line for a long time and the spanish woman taking orders ignored me the whole time (i am african american) and then an old white man came in and she says to him “hi can i help you” and i know for a facts he saw me come in. then i order extra chicken and extra shrimp and they completely cheated me on multiple occasions. i looked at my order once and asked for just a LITTLE more chicken and the guy says “i mean that’s how it comes” and wouldn’t give me what i paid for. what they did is fill my plate with rice to make it look full and not only that they forgot my noodles and the picture with the recipes is right here to show it. i’m currently boycotting this sarku and the next time i do go imma make sure to let them know i gave them a bad review. ps this is NOT the only bad encounter i’ve had with them. if there is another sarku around you PLEASE go there rather than to this one. especially if your black.

EDITING REVIEW: They charged my credit card $11,000 for a fast food restaurant. Do not eat here, it is clearly criminal and they’re not even good at that.

Meal was proof that “likable” and “edible” not two qualities of food that often overlap.

Customer service was just fine, not sure what the other complaints were about. If you’re walking into an over worked place where the employees likely don’t make enough to deal with people, expect some snark.

My issue was the food. Dumplings were largely overly dry inedible crust, chicken was slimy, rice wasn’t bad other than the slime, wasn’t brave enough to try the salad, California roll had the fishiest fake fish (normally a sign that it’s being cut with something else), and the tempura California roll was better than it’s tempura-less counterpart but ever so slightly.

My recommendation, for most dumplings, but especially these are that you mix a solution 2:1 soy sauce and gochujang paste. Makes most of the meal go down easier than yum yum sauce.

Went here on the way to the airport- we were in a rush and got the teriyaki within 7 minutes of ordering- the taste was good, and we had good portions- if you need a bite to eat, stop here- good prices, great service, convenient location

Overall, this sushi place is good with decent service, but it’s pricier compared to others, especially Kana Sushi in Springfield Plaza. They should provide proper utensils for soy sauce and ginger. The taste was good.

Floored by the pricing and speed!
Pricing: seems to be pre-inflation. ($12 for two lunches worth of lunch)
Speed: was ready in seconds, not minutes (admittedly I arrived during a lull)

Note: I was too hungry to remember to take a pic BEFORE I started eating. Not pictured: 2 California rolls and 1 dumpling
