The change from Peggy’s to The Kendall seems to have gone smoothly. Same great bar and great food. The change has allowed the chef to branch out more and we had some excellent specials. I enjoyed a veal loin that was perfectly cooked. The wife had a Halibut Wellington, which I’d never seen before and was fantastic. Service was OK, our server forgot to put in our appetizer. We still asked for it at the end because we were hungry. I’m typically not one to ask for anything free (and I didn’t) however if I was the manager I’d train my staff to offer something when they make a mistake, even something small would keep someone coming back who might not otherwise.

Absolutely loved this place. The martinis were outstanding—perfectly balanced, smooth, and clearly made with care (honestly some of the best I’ve had). The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. On top of that, the atmosphere was so quaint and charming—cozy, intimate, and full of character. Emma and Sean were amazing.

Absolutely loved this place. From the moment we walked in, everything just felt right. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was friendly and attentive, and every dish we tried was seriously delicious. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall experience. Perfect spot for a relaxed but special dinner — we’ll definitely be back.

We made a reservation a full day in advance and drove from San Antonio to Boerne to celebrate our anniversary, expecting a pleasant and well-organized dining experience. Unfortunately, we received a call only when we had just arrived at the restaurant informing us that they would be closing in 15 minutes and that there would not be enough time to serve our reservation.
Accepting a reservation for a time that cannot realistically be honored shows a lack of consideration for your guests’ time and special occasions. Had we been notified earlier, we could have easily made other arrangements instead of driving the distance for nothing.
For a restaurant that values its reputation, reservation management and communication with guests should be handled with far more professionalism and respect. We sincerely hope this is addressed so other customers celebrating important moments do not experience the same disappointment we did.
