Line out the door at 9:30 on. Friday morning was my first hint I picked a good place. Sat outside in the cool rain under the covered sidewalk. Hubby eats what he wants on vacation and he got the chicken fried steak. Couldn’t finish it all. Potato cakes, eggs, biscuits AND gravy on top! We weren’t even halfway done with our coffee when the food arrived! Great service, recs, and vibe.

Probably the best breakfast spot in Durango. There is usually a wait but it’s worth it. The staff is friendly, the food is quick and high quality. All of the Benedict’s are excellent (the southwest is probably my favorite), but honestly everything is tasty.

Had a great brunch with family at Rupert’s! Service was impeccable, the wait for a table was short, and our food was all around delicious. I thought my chicken fried steak could have been crunchier/more flavorful, but everything else hit the spot for breakfast. Would come back for sure.

Such a great place. My only issue was parking. If you have a large vehicle, park in the street.

We are celebrating our anniversary this weekend and were looking for a cute place for breakfast. Rupert’s did not disappoint! Their staff were friendly and efficient. We had a 10 minute wait to be seated but after we had a table, it was under 10 minutes till we got our food. Very fast and the waitress was attentive! We never ran out of drinks and the staff never seemed stressed out even though the restaurant was full at the time. Atmosphere was cute, nothing crazy but just an all around comfortable environment. Prices were a touch high, but that can be expected of any mountain town. We’d love to come back in the future!

Elliott was amazing! We popped in for the first time today around 1040am and were out by 1105! Found Rupert’s on Google and the menu sounded perfect. We were able to park in the free lot right outside. The place was packed, but constantly revolving and we never saw anybody wait for a table. It was perfectly paced without feeling rushed. The hostess sat us immediately by the front door and we were worried about the traffic at first, but quickly settled in and never inconvenienced by the in/out flow of guests. Elliott was our server and was extremely polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Made ordering and customizing a breeze! Groups of all ages and dress were here – from business meeting to college kids to retired hippies. Eclectic environment, DELICIOUS and FRESH food, superb service, chill vibes. We got the classic benedict with avocado on the side and the quiche of the day. Potato pancakes were the best we’ve ever had. I had an iced chai with oatmilk and husband had black coffee. We were both happy with the flavors of our drinks! The food was filling but we didn’t leave feeling heavy/weighed down by what we ate. Will absolutely be back and 100% recommend if you’re anywhere near Durango!

My family and I tried Rupert’s for the first time after a morning of snowmobiling. Our guide, Ben recommended the restaurant. Even though we had to wait to be seated, it was well worth it. The restaurant itself is not very big, however, there were several large parties dining on the day we went. The restaurant ran like a well oiled machine. The waitress was timely taking our drink orders and then our food orders. Both were delivered promptly. The food was hot and delicious. The staff was good about checking in on our table, too. When patrons were finished dining and left, the tables were immediately cleared and a new group was seated. Everything ran very smoothly. We will definitely be back.

We were driving through from pagosa on our way to silverton and wanted a good place to stop for breakfast. I knew when I saw the ratings, coupled with a holiday weekend, it was going to be a busy spot, so we tried to get there early, but of course with 2 teens nothing is quick in the morning. We arrived around 915am with a full parking lot and a crowd waiting outside, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the wait for 6 was only 20-25 minutes. Once we got in, we had drinks and food literally within 10-12 minutes. It was so fast, we were in and out including wait time within 50-55 minutes and able to get back on the road for our day of outdoor adventuring. The bennys are delicious and my kids loved the pancakes and jalapeño bacon. I would say parking looks difficult, but the get people in and out so efficiently, something opens up every 5 minutes. Definitely recommend! The service, the efficiency and the food are all top notch and prices are reasonable if you want them to be. We spent $85 without tip but the kids got sides of bacon and hot chocolates. My Benny was only $12.

Food was very flavorful, all the staff were very kind, they double checked ingredients for me due to an allergy. We ordered the classic Benedict, vegan French toast with strawberries, steak and eggs, kids pancake bear with chocolate chips, order of blueberry pancakes, and an order of scrambled eggs. The potato cakes had so much flavor, not just bland hash browns! And the vegan French toast was so good! Clean restaurant with a fun chill atmosphere. Will definitely return.
