TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First time coming here and I haven’t even finished my meal before writing this review. Great tasting food! We ordered sliders and tenders on mild heat and it’s juicy yet crispy and has a flavor that slightly resembles “old bay seasoning”. I really like the interior as well with the colors of the artwork and graffiti. It’s beautiful! Service and fast and friendly, let’s hope it stays this way. With so many chicken options in south FL, it’s a nice change from the normal thang!

The cashier Natalie was very kind, hospitable, and helpful. I got the 1 tender and slider combo (very hot). Chicken was flavorful and juicy…I might have to tone the down the heat level next time lol. My lips are still red but no regrets.

Food was really, the fries were amazing.
I suggest to ask for combo number 4 it is the perfect size not to much not to little.
Parking could be complicated on busy times since there is a lot of other businesses there.
Plenty of table to sit eh family and friends, tables were a little to close in my opinion but still great place sit down and enjoy the experience.

This Dave’s Hot Chicken location is a shadow of what it used to be, and the reason is painfully obvious. The decision to remove Fausto, an exceptional General Manager, and keep Natalie instead has completely undermined the operation. Fausto ran this store with professionalism, consistency, and pride. The food was reliable, the staff was managed, and customers were treated with respect. That leadership is now gone and it shows.
On my most recent visit, the experience was outright unacceptable. When I asked about Fausto, the response I received from Natalie was passive-aggressive and dismissive. My food was poorly prepared and noticeably overcooked, and the interaction felt retaliatory rather than professional. Shortly afterward, Natalie left the store altogether. Employees later confirmed that this behavior is common and that she is frequently absent and disengaged.
There is no visible leadership at this location anymore. Standards have dropped, service is inconsistent, and accountability is nonexistent. The staff appears to be operating without direction, and customer experience is clearly not a priority.
This location used to stand out because of strong management. Losing Fausto while retaining ineffective and disrespectful leadership has directly contributed to its decline. Until serious changes are made, I would not recommend this Dave’s Hot Chicken to anyone who expects quality, professionalism, or basic respect.

Not great. They had NO soda syrup for over half of the fountain drinks, they had NO ice cream for the milk shakes. The food is ok, but there are literally 10 chicken places within the half mile of this place so it was just not a good look for a new establishment to be out of order on everything, this location just opened. It was dirty, the person who looked like a manager didn’t speak up when guests were complaining about being charged for sodas that didn’t work. It was unprofessional. Maybe they don’t pay enough for quality people I don’t know.

I was recommended Davie Hot Chicken on Instagram, so I decided to try it. I ordered through DoorDash around 7:45 PM and picked it up around 8:06 PM. The receipt showed the order was made around 6:45 PM, and when I opened the box the chicken was cold and dry. It tasted like it had been sitting for almost an hour. Really disappointed — I wouldn’t recommend it.
