After arriving in San Cristobal de las Casas, this was the first place i went to eat. I only had tacos, so i don’t know what the other food was like. However, if all the food is like the tacos, this is probably the best place to eat in the entire town. I would highly recommend the octopus or prawns. Avoid the marlin and tuna, not because they are bad, because they just aren’t as good as the rest of the menu (unless you like a lot of melted cheese). Overall, for a really reasonable price, this was fantastic, if you are in town, go here.

***Update*** 2 years later, and still just as amazing, if not better
I’m pretty impressed with this restaurant, The shrimp tacos were excellent, generous portions, the juices were awesome. Service was great, and very fast.

This restaurant is a gem to hat people should know about. We ordered a shrimp broth, ceviche mix and shrimp cocktail. Each dish had so much flavour. Important note: use the salsa ad sauce that comes with the dish. Unfortunate to have it discovered on our last day. Would have loved to taste more of their dishes. Service is excellent and very friendly.

Absolutely delicious, the service was very quick, the prices are surprisingly low (considering we’re not near the sea), the place is well decorated and there’s plenty of room. I ordered fish and shrimp tacos, they’re very well made and the price is lower than you would expect. An excellent place if you are looking for a delicious seafood affordable and comfortable place. Absolutely loved it!!

A family type place. I pretty much just go for the shrimp tacos. Nicely battered shrimp, a little shredded cabbage (but not too much!) chopped tomato, a few slices of avocado and a tiny smidgen of white sauce. You add the salsa which is a nice tamarindo y habenera (spicy and good). They always give you a big bowl of crunchy totopos. The guacamole is very good but a huge portion. I always order a half portion and it’s still a lot!
Service is very good. The owners are always there and very nice. I think of it as my neighborhood hole in the wall, but it is actual quite big with a separate large room. But it feels cozy and the owners seem to know most everyone. I think they have been here a long time! Good/reasonable prices.
