Best BBQ in Woodbridge! Not your typical BBQ joint. The menu and specials include authentic Caribbean dishes which will draw you back over and over again. There are two housemade BBQ sauces to choose from: bourbon and sweet and spicy. Both are delicious, but my favorite is the sweet and spicy; after the initial sweet flavor the spicy explodes in your mouth. They even have a house beer which is very decent… nice hops and light in flavor. If you like E.P.A. I highly recommend. If you’re military or law enforcement, you’ll enjoy a discount. Great patriotic place, great atmosphere, great service… you’ll want to be a regular at Smokin’ Looney Q’s!

The food was decent. We had brisket which yes the fat was still on the meat but it was tender and flavorful. My dad does a mean brisket and i always compare his to others. Yes, fat is a turn off to some like my daughter. Alot off BBQ spots that serve brisket start off with serving the fat but now they trim it off but that is what makes the meat tender and flavorful. We also had a slab of ribs which the seasoning was a bit to much but good. The BBQ sauce was not good to us but everyone taste buds are different. I thought I was going to like the bourbon sauce but I will pass. What is BBQ without a good sauce though. I took the ribs home and put some honey bbq sauce on it. When we were ready for our check our waiter was in the corner with the other workers eating. ♀️ We were not informed of any specials but over heard another waiter telling her table about a beef rib special. The place has a nice set up with a bar. Nice atmosphere…i wish nothing but prosperity in the future.

Greeted with friendly service. We were immediately made aware of the fact that the menu was not a full menu and they only had certain foods available. I appreciated that. Sure enough we are brought out a menu that had certain things circled off of what they had. So we couldn’t try the wings. We ordered the pork yuca cups, the chicken and the sausage links. The meat was good. Cooked thoroughly and the bbq sauces were good. We’re also ordered the mac n cheese and beans and that was not great. I have definitely had better. But the meat was pretty good. I will come back and try the ribs and hopefully they have more of a full menu.

When Nelson and Tanya were in their trailer, the food was superb. They trimmed the fat off my brisket.
Yesterday I went to their new restaurant. My friend got a mouthful of fat. I was so disgusted I lost my appetite.
I went back today, and was greeted by Nelson with a “I beg to differ”. Also, he no longer “has time” to get the fat off my brisket.
That restaurant was built with my money and that of their loyal customers. Nelson needs to remember that. I will never order brisket there again. NEVER. There are plenty of other BBQ places around.

I am indifferent about this place. Great atmosphere and unique menu for sure, but a lot of unavailable items that were key for what I wanted (greens, chicken, sweet potato fries). The plaintains were first delivered still frozen in the middle, they did refry them for me but said they couldn’t fry them more because they were to ripe which didn’t make sense to me with it being frozen on the middle. I think the biggest disappointment was the barbecue sauces (only 2) which tasted like a spicy ketchup or the other which was a shot of bourbon with vinegar type of taste. Overall i wouldn’t actively seek this place out unless friends or family sought it out. The owner appears to be genuine and care greatly about the establishment and customer satisfaction but the food quality was just not there.

So disappointed! I shared a meal with a friend and all I had was slabs of fat on my brisket! I have eaten at many BBQ establishments across the country and never have I had so much fat on my meat! Never going back or recommending this restaurant, I guess it would be okay if you enjoy eating fat and look forward to having clogged arteries!

I enjoyed my experience there. The food was good. The friendly atmosphere was even better. Meats were good and flavorful. Beans were ok and mac-n-cheese as well. Not baked, but other bbq places in the area don’t do baked macaroni either. Greens were sold out when I came. But, will most definitely go back especially when fish is added to the menu. Plus it has some items on the menu that are Latin based that I am looking forward to trying.

You won’t find better BBQ in town or in Va for that matter. The pulled pork is juicy, and the chicken is smoked to perfection. My favorite is the brisket, it’s hard to describe how delicious and tender the brisket is, it melts in your mouth and comes with their signature Smokin’ Looney Q bbq sauce. Plus, once you taste the ribs you’ll be watering at the mouth for their spice mixture which can be ordered online. So please, if you love bbq try this masterpiece of smoked meats and delicious sides!

Spectacular food. It’s a tragedy they no longer have the restaurant location, but the food truck is amazing. The brisket sandwich was perfect, especially with that tangy sauce, but the pulled pork was somehow even better. Definitely a must stop of you are on the area.

This place is awesome.. their meat falls off the bone and melts in your mouth, their bbq sauce is great, their rub is fantastic. We grabbed one of their 10lb hams to take to a family Christmas eve dinner – that’s how much we love it. My fav is the chicken (whole or half). Also, these people are some of the nicest you will meet. I’d recommend these guys to anyone who enjoys some good, no great, bbq.
