Absolutely loved this place! The staff were warm & attentive—Nicole in particular was incredibly sweet & accommodating, which set such a great tone for the night. Our server Adam was great as well.

The food was outstanding. We started with the burrata & squash salad, both beautifully balanced, & then shared the fusillino, which was rich & flavorful. Most places I’ve ordered a similar dish to this from – its way too creamy & overpowering, this was perfection. They even split the entrée for us without us asking—a small but thoughtful detail that shows how much they care about the guest experience.

The ambiance is equally impressive. Inside, the design & décor are stunning. We sat outside, where there’s a generous number of tables & large heaters that kept us warm n cozy.

Having worked in the industry for 15 years at several high-end Italian restaurants, I can honestly say this place does not disappoint. Chestnut Hill is lucky to have a restaurant of this caliber. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an elevated yet welcoming dining experience.

Adelina’s has a vibe all its own. Whether you’re planning a night out with friends or a cozy dinner for two, this place delivers. Its contemporary atmosphere creates a fun, welcoming energy from the moment you walk in.

The food is both authentic and delicious. I highly recommend starting with the stuffed focaccia, olives, and calamari. For mains, the pasta carbonara and the filet mignon are outstanding choices.

The staff is top-notch—friendly, attentive, and committed to making your experience exceptional. Adelina’s is absolutely worth the visit.

A great atmosphere! Visited the basement business lounge, which seemed like a speakeasy, and it was the perfect setting for a business meal. The food was very tasty, the grilled octopus was perfectly cooked, not too tender, and had a little bit of a bite to it. The chicken Parm was well breaded, nice and crispy, but would have liked a little bit more sauce to mop up the chicken. The tiramisu was light and fluffy, perfectly airy way to finish off a meal.

Adelina in Philadelphia is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why dining out is an experience, not just a meal. From the moment I walked in, the warm lighting, modern design, and lively but comfortable atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The staff immediately made us feel welcome with genuine hospitality and attentiveness that never felt forced.

The food is where Adelina truly shines. Every dish that came to the table looked like it belonged in a magazine spread, beautifully plated with clear attention to detail. The flavors backed it up even more: rich, balanced, and memorable. The appetizers were fresh and creative, the entrees were hearty yet refined, and the desserts closed the night on a perfect note. Paired with well-crafted cocktails and a thoughtfully curated wine list, every course felt like it was part of a carefully planned journey.

What stood out most was the consistency. From start to finish, the quality never dipped. The timing of the courses was flawless, and the staff had that rare ability to anticipate needs before being asked. You can tell the team here takes pride in both the food and the guest experience.

Adelina is more than just a place to eat, it’s a restaurant that delivers on every level: atmosphere, service, and incredible cuisine. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to treat yourself to a night out, this is a must-visit spot in Philadelphia.

I went here for my anniversary dinner and the aesthetics couldn’t have been more perfect. I’m leaving a 5 star based on my bartender, Andy, and my server, Stephanie.(I hope I spelled it correctly!) They displayed exceptional hospitality, kindness, and humor all throughout my experience. Special shout out to Andy for apologizing for the way another staff member spoke to me during my experience. He noticed the discomfort and immediately tried to fix it! You really never know the kind of impact you’ll have on someone’s day, a little bit of kindness goes a long way.

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!!

Normally I don’t post reviews, whether they’re good or bad. This is actually only my second review. During my birthday weekend celebration, I came in yesterday and had an amazing time with my friends. My meals were so good that I already had in mind what I wanted to come back and eat the next day. My waiter yesterday was exceptional, and that’s one of the main reasons I decided to return today with my fiancé to finish celebrating my birthday.

Unfortunately, today’s experience was very different.

First, I ordered the grilled octopus, and it wasn’t cooked enough. I sent it back just to have it cooked a little longer, but when it came back it was actually worse than before.

I also ordered the lobster ravioli. Yesterday I didn’t get the lobster with the ravioli, so I decided to order it today. When it came out it smelled a little fishy, but I tried to stay optimistic. The first bite with the ravioli wasn’t too bad, but the second bite by itself was extremely salty and really turned me off. I ended up only eating the ravioli by itself. While eating it, I bit into a piece and found a shell from the lobster. I had to spit it out because I didn’t want to swallow it.

I explained everything to my waiter about both the octopus and the lobster shell in the ravioli, but nothing was taken off the bill. At that point I just said okay, no problem.

The service was also very different from the day before. My waiter yesterday was attentive and made the experience enjoyable. Today, the service felt very lacking. Our cups were not refilled, silverware wasn’t replaced, and while she did check on us briefly, she wasn’t really present like the waiter from Friday.

I also got a bit of a stereotypical vibe, almost as if she assumed I couldn’t afford the meal. I’m not sure if it was prejudice or just the service style, but it didn’t feel welcoming.

Despite everything, I still tipped her, just a lower amount because the service simply wasn’t the same as the day before.

If I were to return, it would probably be on a Saturday again. Sundays seem more relaxed, but maybe a little too relaxed where the service and attention to detail just isn’t the same.

The splendid decor was appealing. However- I thought the prices were a bit too much for the amount of foods served. I purchased the spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was $17.00 and $5.00 for each meatball. I obtained three. The spaghetti and meatballs were below average in terms of flavor and taste. Additionally- the diet coke was $4.00 for a small glass. The food flavors and taste were mediocre. ( What restaurant does not serve hot free bread? That is just greedy to charge for bread.) We had to order bread which I thought was immensely egregious. The service was mediocre. The host was immensely cogential and warm. However- the waitress frequently got stuff wrong pertaining to the order. She was awful! ) I would not recommend going to the resturant! Deplorable foods!

Everything was fantastic. Except the espresso crème brûlée which was too much espresso, not enough crunchy top, and the custard wasn’t custard texture but harder more like cheesecake.

Anniversary lunch was.a Great experience!
Place had chill relaxing vibes. Hostess was welcoming and super friendly. Waiter was accommodating, nice and helpful.

The food and drinks were wonderful. Wife had steak and eggs along with a mimosa. I enjoyed a squash salad with shrinp and an expresso martini. So good!

To top it off we shared tiramisu… they brought it out with a candle…nice touch 🙂

It was so good we got dinner to go.

Needless to say we’ll return.

Extra credit for a immaculate bathroom and a great music choice (love me some Rick James)

My boyfriend and visited this place on Saturday evening for the first time. We got calamari and the focaccia for apps, chicken parm and spicy rigatoni (added shrimp), and we tried tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert. Everything looked amazing (including their specials!!) so we had a hard time deciding what to get. We were extremely delighted with everything we tried! The calamari was lightly crispy, the focaccia was so flavorful (little oily so messy to eat- delicious nonetheless), the pasta was so fresh, and the desserts were pretty good too. They had 3 specials which sounded incredible, I wish I had tried them. The pasta was still very good though. I did not find the spicy rigatoni to be too spicy, but adding shrimp was a great addition and I highly recommend!! We were happy with our experience here and will definitely be coming back!
