It’s disappointing that I’m writing this bad review. Typically I absolutely enjoy Sals pizza especially this gas station location! It’s 3 mins from my house and my family loves the quick convenience of it. However, I ordered my daughters usual.. (thin crust cheese) shocking I believe all we got was..

• crust
• thin cheese

We like their thin crust because it has that nice crunchy-toasted pizza dough texture. But not this time… It’s Friday night I called at 8:15pm an ordered (Large cheese thin crust) what I got was what seemed to be a pizza that probably had been sitting out. The cheese was dried up and worst part the dough aka the foundation of a pizza was non-existent.. ‍♀️

I ordered an XL meat lovers and they told me to wait 10-15 minutes, but 30 minutes went by and I asked if it was almost done after a bunch of other people got their food. She said “5 more minutes” but the cook was like “bro, I didn’t even start it.” Anyway, they both apologized and said they’d load it with toppings and give me some cookies. So I waited another 15 minutes and she said she had to tape the lid shut because of all the toppings. I got the pizza, and guess what? No cookies, and I’d already been there for 45 minutes so I wasn’t going to waste more time. I got home and it barely had the normal amount of toppings, like what the heck? I’ve never had these two serve me before and I’ll never order again if they’re working when I go in. Definitely not recommending this place anymore. If they had at least given me some cookies and loaded it with toppings, I wouldn’t even have left a review, but lying and BSing on top of everything? Yeah, I’m getting old because this stuff is starting to get to me now. I even added a screenshot of when it was ordered and when I found out they hadn’t even started it. They should have just given me a refund and let me leave. P.S. If you see a pretty tall older dude working, order from him, he always does an amazing job, just not these two.

I’ve never noticed that there was a pizza place here, but I was on my way home from work and decided to take a chance. Excellent choice. I ordered a full pie for a few friends, and they made it and threw it in right there. It took a surprisingly short amount of time for the pizza to come out of the oven. The crust is good, the sauce tastes great, I took one bite of the garlic knots and hopped on to write a review so that people don’t overlook this place.

The parking is chaotic, and it’s definitely a take and go place since there’s no tables, but it tastes really good and was ready very quickly

$9 for a slice of pizza than they expect a tip. I asked the worker if the pizza was fresh he said yes. After I purchased he proceeded to put it in oven. If it was fresh why did he have to warm it up?

This place is the best! We came in from out of town on a friends recommendation. We ordered the meat lovers. It was exactly the way you’d expect a north end pizza to taste. Well done guys!

Let’s be clear, we’re talking about pizza in a gas station. But this isn’t some sad microwaved Mama Celeste offering that’s been reheated in a toaster oven. These guys make real pizza in real ovens. They specialize in sizeable pies, 19 inches in circumference. But most of their business consists of generously-proportioned quarter slices priced between $5 and $7 dollars. Decent pizza by the slice is tough to find in the suburbs and Sal’s deserves to be on your list the next time you’re hankering for pizza but don’t want to spring for a while pie.
