Slurpin Ramen is located at the back in mout vernon marletplace. I tried the baltimore effect chicken ramen, and though it was decent, it did lack some kick. The portion size was good, and the staff were polite. I will try some other options in the future.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience here! Slurpin Ramen is conveniently located in Mount Vernon Marketplace, which hosts many food options. We were visiting Baltimore for a few days and decided to come to the Marketplace to see if there was any good food. We both love ramen, so we decided to give it a try! Initially, though, we were a bit hesitant. The reviews weren’t exceptional (at the point of viewing, Slurpin Ramen had 3.9 stars here on Google), but we decided to give it a try anyways.

I ordered the Meatless Ramen (as I am a vegetarian). I customized it a bit. My girlfriend ordered the Shoyu Ramen. The lady at the counter was extremely friendly! She gave us a buzzer, and we went to our table. When the buzzer went off, we went to the counter, and the same lady was carrying our bowls on a tray. I reached out to grab it, but she insisted on bringing it to our table for us! This gesture was super kind, especially considering the Marketplace is more of a foodcourt than a restaurant.

The ramen itself was very good! The broths for both the meatless and the shoyu ramens were fantastic, and the noodles were perfectly cooked! Both my girlfriend and I wished that there were a few more toppings on our ramen—maybe some bok choy, bamboo, or kikurage mushrooms—but the simplicity was in itself very good! My tofu was very good. While we were eating, the lady came over to our table and asked us how everything ones. My girlfriend asked for the broth to be less salty—which it was—and when the lady came back over to us, she specifically asked if the broth was okay!

I go to and review a lot of ramen places. You might think that since I am a vegetarian, all of the ramen I get—regardless of the place—will be the same. However, I have found that some places make vegetarian ramen better than others. Although I mentioned that it would have been good if there were some more toppings and vegetables, I have had many other good ramens that were even more simple than Slurpin Ramen’s!

Overall, I thought the ramen was superb. The service was great, the pricing was fair, and the atmosphere of the Mount Vernon Marketplace was also nice! If I am ever in the Baltimore-area again, I will certainly be returning!

Excellent service. However, ramen is different over here. The broth was too oily, creamy, and thick (you could see it on the food). The noodles felt like angel hair pasta. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish the food even though I was so hungry 🙁

We are from New Hampshire in town for the yankees at orioles game. We decided to walk a half mile approx. to this ramen noodle place from our hotel. WOW just an amazing experience. This noodle station is located inside an indoor market place with many different eateries. The kind and thoughtful hostess here helped us chose what we wanted. We chose the short ribs and chicken ramen bowls. Deeeeeelicious!!! OVER THE TOP FLAVORFUL YUMMINESS. Ribs and chicken were tender and tasty. The broth was tasty but not salty or creamy, PERFECT. The ramen noodles were al dente. The attention to detail was evident with every bite and slurp. This is a true hidden gem of a place in our opinion. Clean, tidy, cozy and modern. Just a great relaxed atmosphere. This should be a must goto for any noodle lover as we are. the employees and owner of this establishment should be mighty proud of their place.

Got number 1.

The pork shoulder was tender and tasted great. I added spicy to it but it wasn’t a great idea. They added chili oil so it just stuck to the top of the broth. It didn’t blend well with the broth.

The noodles were underwhelming. They didn’t taste that great.

Overall it was a decent meal but the price did not match the taste. I’ll still give it 4 as it does fill my craving for Japanese Ramen.

Good ramen. We went to the one in Mt. Vernon Marketplace but there wasn’t a way to review that one. The menu here was minimal, but the ramen that we got was quite good. There wasn’t a line when we went in the late afternoon, and the service was quick and friendly.

Good quick ramen served with great customer service. Located in a food market in the back corner Slurpin Ramen is serving up some pretty good ramen. I like the high bar seating with views looking into the kitchen. The staff was phenomenal and very cool to chat with.

Delicious ramen with plenty of options. We LOVED it. It’s not easy to find a true ramen joint. Located in the Mt Vernon Marketplace there are several other food vendors offering burgers, seafood, oysters, tacos and more if others w you are not Ramen lovers. Stalls offer all types of beverages too. A few short blocks from Walters Art Museum. Highly recommend!! Go slurpin’ ️ (photo Flamethrower Shoyu w Shrimp Tempura + Orion Beer)

Stellar ramen with a variety of bases (ranging from shio, paitan, shoyu, and vegetarian). Whether you want perfect noodles or low carb substitutes (e.g. a cabbage bed or bean sprouts), their ajitama eggs and shrimp tempura deserve special mention as add ons to double/triple.
Great service whether your at their counter with Wendy or any other or they’re bringing your ramen across the marketplace to your table.
Also they serve a limited selection of non-typical Japanese beer/Sakes.
