We are a locally owned, family business serving the Auburn and Roseville area since 1965. Our family prides itself on preparing our dishes using only the freshest and finest ingredients. Nabor Ramirez opened the first Cafe Delicias, in Old Town Auburn, in 1964. The first location was followed by the opening of the second Cafe Delicias in Roseville. Later on, Mr. Ramirez would open the other restaurants in Rocklin and Auburn.

The staff are extremely nice and the perfect balance of attentive without being overbearing. But the tamale there was the worst I’d ever had. The corn part was extremely grey and muted in color and the flavor of every component was lackluster.

My first visit to Cafe Delicias was 1965… and, it remains really good. Even the fresh small dinner salad has never changed_it is Excellent & fresh every time. (They are refrigerating in small bowls to save time.) Not good. Great Salsa & Chips tells best Mexican food most times. It’s all good…Try the egg dishes!

My favorite server I have ever had here! I’ve been coming since I was a kid, and now bring my kid here. The food is always exceptional and consistent! This time was even better though with a friendly, familiar face to add to the experience! Definitely a reason to come more often once again.

If you just went off of how clean the place was you would leave, We gave it a shot because sometimes you get really good food, you never know. Every table was dirty we Sat down at, Even after the guy wiped it down it still had stuff on it. The table has a plastic cover on top of it and it’s full of water below. You could actually push down on the top of the table and make water come out on top of your shirt. The bottom of the chips when we got done with them, there was a ton of Teflon type plastic in the bottom of the bowl. I posted a picture. I thought it was interesting to use a wooden bowl for a salad but you know. The food was very good, Good luck.

We stopped and ate here tonight. The service was excellent and the food was good. We caught the restaurant right before the dinner rush. The restaurant seems to get busy and was filling up.
Our meals were very reasonably priced and came out pretty quickly. The meal started off with a small salad, which I thought was a nice touch.
My wife had a Chili Relleno and Carne Assad Soft Taco. She really liked the meal. I had a Tamale that was topped with a Mole Type Sauce and a Chicken Burrito (pictures attached). We both were happy with our meal and if in the area and you are looking for a nice Mexican food meal you should stop by.

Great local Mexican food restaurant that has been part of Old Town Auburn for ages. Good food for a good price, and you get free chips! Cafe Delicias also offers lunch specials Monday-Friday where you can get a big lunch for less than $10.

Good food, decent price, very friendly staff. The burritos lookes good and i got the super nachos. They give complimentary chips and salsa and its very good. They also have fried ice cream and burrito cheesecake. I didnt try it, but i think itd taste pretty good. The decor is nice and has a nice theme that makes it cozy. They also have a bar.

I don’t leave a lot of negative reviews but I’ve sat on this for a little and decided I do want to give my honest opinion to the public, and I’m hopeful the business will take this as an opportunity to fix some issues. My party and I came here on a Sunday evening, the first thing I noticed was how the restaurant seemed to be severely understaffed, we waited so long for any kind of service whether it be for drinks, to take our order, or for the check. When we finally got the food (which is really overpriced) the majority of our plates were cold, the chips tasted like they were from 2 days ago, and the rest of the food had little to no flavor. I am really disappointed in this restaurant and I hope they strongly consider restructuring.
