We are an Italian restaurant featuring our homemade dough and sauces. We specialize in an authentic Chicago Deep Dish pizza and have become a destination for the real deep dish! We are also a tap house for Boxcar Brew Works, with it’s main location in Dubois, PA . And the service is fantastic!!

The meatballs tasted like they were made by my best friend’s 100% Italian grandmother. They took me right back to spending all day on a Sunday while the gravy simmered.
Pizza is pizza—but not here. This was so good. The little pepperoni that cups up, onions that still have a bite, and vinegary banana peppers, all mixed with fresh dough, fresh mozzarella, and a perfectly executed cook—amazing.
I can’t wait to try the Chicago-style pizza and more of the delicious food coming out of this place.
I made a reservation for my husband and I and also invited my Father in Law, my Brother and Sister in Law to join us for Lunch on Wednesday, Dec 17th.
We arrived at 11:30 and the waitress came over right away, greeted us and took our beverage order, delivered those and took our lunch orders.
From the time we ordered until.we received our lunches, we waited for over an hour.
The waitress keep apologizing to us.
Finally, our food arrived.
Sadly, my Father in Law’s fish sandwich was overcooked and my Brother in Law’s Philly Steak and Cheese Stromboli was undercooked on the bottom and very dark on the top.
My Eggplant and the 2 Italian Hoagies were delicious.
Needless to say, I was disappointed with our experience and embarrassed that I was the one who encouraged us to eat there.
It was not mentioned but I got the distinct feeling there was a staff shortage in the kitchen because there wasn’t many people in the dining room.
As I said at the beginning of my review, I had never heard anything negative about your place.
As a former waitress, I feel our experience needed to be brought to the owner’s attention.
Also we got deep dish pizza and that was rotten, ingredient wise. Did you guys use tomatoes and cheese you found in the back of your walk in freezer?! If I was a food inspector, I would have given you a failing grade. Probably not your first I would guess given how you handle customer’s service.
TLDR: don’t come here…ever.
, I was a bit let down by the food.
The meatballs were just average—nothing that stood out. And the pizza? Not great . It was way too oily, and honestly, it made it hard to enjoy. The dough didn’t have much flavor, and the slices were pretty dry. it was the worst pizza I’ve had since moving to Pittsburgh.
I understand that tastes can vary, and perhaps this is a normal experience for others, but I wanted to share my honest perspective as a consumer. Thank you for taking the time to read my review! ♀️
