This place is great. I had the patty melt and my daughter had a grilled cheese and both were delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient. The seating is along a counter and there were a few locals/regulars there who were also friendly. I’ve heard it can be busy, but we lucked out and walked right in.

Yesterday at lunch was my first time experiencing Walker’s Diner, a Farmville landmark since 1952. My first impression of this establishment was that it had a lot of charm dating from a bygone era. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and I found my food to be delicious and memorable. The lettuce on my grilled chicken sandwich was very fresh. The lemon meringue pie was amazing. The interior space of the restaurant felt a little cramped, and that’s part of the charm of this popular diner. I look forward to returning to enjoy my second visit!

As much as I wanted to fall in love with this spot. I was highly disappointed. I will say the wait staff was very attentive so that was nice and gave at least two stars. But the food was just okay, and not worth the price we paid. It was about $15 per person for frozen food. For $3 lemonade, I’d hope it would have some fresh lemons but the lemonade was country time powdered lemonade. And there were a lot of flies.

Epitome of small local diner with friendly service and well prepared great food. BLT with onion rings did not disappoint. The chicken salad sandwich and strawberry rhubarb pie were excellent. Very limited seating inside, but there is seating outside and in the nearby caboose park if it’s a nice day. Walker’s adds to the Farmville charm.

An iconic Farmville experience with tasty food, a retro vibe, and kind service. Seating is always very limited so be prepared to eat outside if you have a large party.

We went for breakfast/brunch and everything was delicious! Cheesy omelette, crispy hash browns, butter-soaked biscuits, and fluffy pancakes. The prices can get a little steep for some of the bigger breakfasts, but it’s a fun experience.

You haven’t really experienced Farmville if you haven’t had breakfast or lunch at this original 15-stool Valentine steel prefabricated diner. It’s been serving up great food and friendly local color since 1952. But get here before it closes after the lunch crowd at 2 p.m. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We’ve been visiting Farmville quite a bit over the last three years, and this was the first time that two seats were available in this little diner. Boy, was it worth it!

The food was outstanding. We recommend the steak, mozzarella & mushroom omelet – it will melt in your mouth. The service was immediate, and they kept an eye on us in case we needed anything.

This restaurant is a hot spot for the local college students – for many, it’s a reliable place for a good meal. We understand now why it’s always full. If you get a chance – grab that seat and find out for yourself.

Such a cute little diner with wonderful history. The staff was very personable as you had to sit at the counter since it is so small that it has no individual tables. We were on our annual visit and our friends were raving about their breakfast. They did not disappoint! I made the face in the picture, but know that they give huge, flat, delicious pancakes, perfectly over medium eggs, and very nicely crisp bacon! Other items that we had that did not disappoint: chicken biscuit sliders, bacon omelet, and blueberry pancakes. The only complaint we had was more of a joke with the way we hold our knives, the pointed corner of the handle was digging into our palm. The food, the ambiance, the staff, and the experience were all great and I can’t wait to go back!
