The people in the cafe are awesome…I am always greeted with a smile..The food is always hot and good with very reasonable cost. I always enjoy my lunch there and would recommend that if your up around Marked Tree go and try urself.

Stopped by today with Dewayne and Melinda Nelson and had lunch. The service was excellent and the cheeseburger and fries were some of the best I have ever had. Would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a good meal in the area.

Walked in the door at 12:00. Sat down then right behind us 5 guys come in sit down at the table beside us. They got their drink order in and drinks before we had a chance to order ours. By the time my wife and I got our drinks the other table is eating. We had just ordered by then and after two people saying let me check on your order we get our food at 12:50. The other group has eaten and paid and gone. The catfish was off flavor and not cooked enough. I know what you’re thinking that he doesn’t know what is on flavor and not. Your wrong I grew up building catfish ponds and I mean 100’s of them I know catfish. My wife left half of her chicken fried steak sandwich. I did not comment on the way out simply not to be rude. Now after careful consideration I am posting this. We were passing through and I think they take care of their locals first and if they have time will eventually get to you. Go back? NO

Very nice cafe. Went to a BBQ place we found on GMaps, looked sketch, drove back and found Poinsett Cafe. Fish and shrimp were done very good, some of the best Hushpuppies I’ve had in a long while. We try and eat at somewhere we’ve never been, and this one’s a winner

Nice friendly place and and staff. One waitress serves the whole place ( 14 tables ) all by her self! I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was like a home cooked burger, it fell apart and it was awesome! Fries were good too. Don’t expect fast fiod it’s not McDonald’s, it’s better then that!

This is a classic, small-town, meat and three. We had a delicious chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, corn, and green beans with an included apple cobbler to boot. Well worth the small detour off the highway to enjoy this family-owned gem.

Passing though town and stopped for a bite. Marked it on my map for future visits. Excellent service from Brianna, great food, awesome decor, and good location. Enjoyed the plate meal and the pricing is excellent. Worth the stop.
