Great lil place. We stopped for lunch before heading back to Michigan. Food was really home-cooked. Fresh, not pre frozen. Full of flavor. Prices were perfect. Nice staff, even the cook asked if we enjoyed the food & we chatted for a bit as it was his down time.

We are in from delaware for the 127 yard sale. They were e conveniently located for our breakfast stop. The service was great. Restrooms and dining room were clean. Food was good. The thing that really jumped out were the pancakes. They looked good as soon as they set them down on the table. They were even better when I put them in my mouth.

First time visiting in many years. We all ordered bacon cheeseburgers. I got a loaded baked potato instead of fries. My son ordered a water and unfortunately it tasted like creek water. I wouldn’t recommend ordering water unless it’s bottled. Burgers were smaller than I expected but they tasted very good! (Real beef!) The lettuce, tomatoes and onions were very fresh and they don’t hold back on the crispy bacon. I wish the baked potato was a bigger size but they give you a good amount of cheese, sour cream and real bacon pieces to top it so it made up for the small portion. Tables are a little too tall for short people.

We had broken down and found this restaurant to hang out at while we waited. It ended up being a long time. The people there took care of us like family. Food was great. They had great homemade baked goods. If you’re interested stop in it will be a great experience

First time in Owenton. Enjoyed meal Hamburger Steak w green beans, a side salad plus roll. Had Apple pie for dessert, husband had roast beef & gravy, mashed potatoes, side salad and roll with chocolate cake for dessert. It was all good, would definitely recommend this place.
