I LOVE this cafe! I always try to go in my birthday and get as many pastries as I can, they are so good! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The food is made with love and the service is kind and courteous. I highly recommend!

Excellent vegan sandwiches and soup! We ordered the vegan BLT and cilantro pesto veggie sandwich with tofu. The bread tasted like my mom’s homemade wheat bread .
I got the feeling they were a bit under staffed for how busy they were at 4pm on a Friday. Love the style of the place too. Will definitely go back! Also, we sat at an outdoor street side table. It was really nice but traffic is a bit loud.

We tried the pumpkin scone and the pumkin matcha cupcake and they were both delicious. My latte was excellent too. I’ll need to come back when I’m more hungry since they have a great menu.

Mid coffee shop ! Liked the freshness in the food and organic touch but wasn’t up to the mark for a grilled cheese or pesto sandwich.

Super cute cafe, fully vegan and has really great coffee. We had brunch here and the food was amazing too! Their commitment to zero waste is commendable. Starting from having spoons to stir your coffee to reusable sauce holder, everything was amazing. Coming back here again!

Food is consistently good and fairly priced. I appreciate any and all veg restaurants.

That being said, I’ve made my last visit to The Black Dog. The wait times on food feel impossible every time. It’s like they’ve got one person back there, cooking every order one by one sequentially, and taking TikTok breaks after every 3rd sandwich. Spare me!!!

We stopped by The Back Dog to pick up a light, vegan lunch at 11:45am on a Saturday. There were a few full tables, but we beat the rush. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes and the containers came decorated! We ordered two sandwiches and they were both delicious. Definitely saving this spot to go back to again!

Wonderful setting with lots of space and great decorations. Friendly, efficient service. Loved the ambiance and everything was very clean. The food was delicious. We got the vegan breakfast burritos and bakon and spinach scramble, plus the bundt cake and ice cream. Everything was exceptional. The chica morada was a nice drink too, on the milder side. Loved the inclusion of Peruvian specialties. The bakon in the bakon and spinach scramble was particularly good, and the dish just left you feeling good. It was also really cool that the ice cream was small-batch and made from lentil milk.

The one thing that threw us off was that it felt like there were a few unstated upcharges on the bills (e.g. for the salsa included in the burrito). It came out a bit more than expected. We’ll probably be more careful next time, but it was overall a great experience.

Hope that this cafe keeps being a community center! We loved that they host concerts and other events. The area around it is really nice as well with ample parking. Great stop on the way back from hikes near Snoqualmie.

The breakfast burrito had lots of freshness and clean flavor. While not too sizable, I’ve had smaller of lower quality at a higher price so this was nice. If you’re hungry and eating alone, get a second burrito for only $4 more.

The turkey, havarti, cilantro pesto sandwich also was clean and simple BUT, as is always the case for me, if it’s intended to be eaten with your hands, it should not make a mess. Not only were pieces falling out, but the toast crumbled.

And although I love a good art Cafe atmosphere, some of the music was not my cup of tea. Speaking of which, the rose tea was sweet and flavorful and pink.

Would love to come check out some of the events they have, but we were just passing through.

Also, the bathrooms are cute and all-gender…. so be sure to visit the one with the urinal (even if you don’t use it).
