Do not come here! Megan, the bartender is incredibly rude and micro-aggressive. My friend and I came here to order their chow mein and we didn’t even get to order because as we were asking questions about the menu, the bartender kept talking over us, telling us that an item we had ordered previously at the same establishment was not possible, citing that she has worked here for over 12 years. My friend simply wanted the salt and pepper shrimp with vegetable chow mein instead of the steamed rice as a side. When we were trying to explain to her what we wanted, she kept talking over us telling us it’s not possible when we have ordered that before multiple times at this point establishment. My friend and I were both genuinely confused. Then when we couldn’t get what we wanted, we just ordered the vegetable chow mein because we were both tired of going back and forth with Megan. After we ordered, my friend and I were sitting at the bar just chatting about what just transpired and how confused we were about the menu change. Then Megan came back to our side of the bar and asked us to leave the establishment because she said “I can still hear you”. I was incredibly shocked because we weren’t rude to her, we weren’t being disrespectful to her or talking disrespectfully about her, yet she still asked us to leave so we ended up cancelling our orders and leaving.

If you are a person of color, beware!! If this establishment lets someone like Megan who has no customer service or decorum, work here, then I would not suggest visiting this place.

Funky underground pool bar with a unique vibe. The food is great and the bartenders are friendly. Lots of tables to play and you can usually get a table if you wait a bit. A truly hidden gem.

The wife and I wanted to stop somewhere to shoot some pool and grab a bite to eat after our excursion to Mcminnville. After some searching on google I found 89 Sports Bar & Billiards and headed that way. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find this location inside an older mini-mall. As we approached the hallway entrance my wife said “I hope this place isn’t tiny” and I had that same thought. After going downstairs, and going through some big wooden doors, we came to an open sprawling location. The bar is best described as pan handle or fat topped L shaped and held 10-12 pool tables of assorted size. After learning it was league night and all the “good” tables were taken in the larger section of the bar, we found a pool table settled in the panhandle portion next to the back exit and slot machines. Unfortunately, this particular spot had an unpleasant smell of raw sewage. HOWEVER, this only effected the slot machine area we were playing. The rest of the place was clean and free of any foul smells. In between the two areas are a handful of dining tables for those that just want to drink/eat with friends and watch a game on one of the many flat screen tvs. After getting our drinks, table and menu, we came to realize the main dishes of this bar were Chinese, with a dash of normal bar food. We ended up getting the BBQ pork and General Tsao. The BBQ pork had a good taste but unfortunately about 75% of the pieces were very dry. Meanwhile the General Tsao was pretty good, had good taste, wasn’t over done but I would ask for them to make it much spicier if we make our way out again. The fried rice that came with it was meh. My biggest disappointment was that the hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce was watered down like crazy, like wouldn’t even stick to the meat, which only exasperated the dryness of the BBQ pork.
The biggest win for this location was the bartender. Very polite and attentive, he provided 5/5 service. I like to think the cook was just having an off day when it comes to the food.

In conclusion, though some things were overcooked this time, the food tasted good and it would not stop me from returning to give this place another try, and I hope I get to sometime in the near future. I would say give it chance if you’re in the area.

Oh and maybe look for parking in the back near their patio, seems a bit more direct of an entrance then the mall parking.

Bartender with tattoos on her face shouldn’t be allowed to work with the public. Angry volatile and rude. Had a drink order wrong and she refused to fix it. Then the other bartender did. And she lost her mind screaming and cussing and saying she is going to quit and leave her all by herself. Horrible experience. Never been treated like this at a bar anywhere.

They have a great menu with lots of different fun Foods here. I had one of the noodle plates that was not labeled correctly in my opinion. It ended up being basically Curry noodles. It was very good but it was not what was described on the menu. We went during pool league night.

This place is huge! Everything you want in a friendly neighborhood dive bar. At least 10 nice pool tables, lotto. There are a bunch at TVs with an assortment of sports showing. The staff is happy to put on whatever game you’d like to watch. The crowd varies from young to old and it really feels like all are welcome. I didn’t try the food but it looked and smelled good. The staff was prompt and friendly. I’ll be visiting more often for sure.

Bartender was so rude we went in on nov 16 at 3pm to just cool off and play some pool but the bartender nearly Kicked us out because my id was expired according to him even tho it didn’t expire until 2032.. we decided to leave because I’ve never experienced service like that btw I always go to that bar at night because it’s my favorite bar with different bar tenders

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a working man’s pool hall. This place has more tables and tv’s in a basement lounge than I’ve ever experienced. Truly a unique distraction laden joint reminding me of some low end casinos from years gone by in Reno or on Fremont Street. It’s the kind of place that strangers meet and immediately start casting bad jokes and the ladies scoff. I played a few games with a guy fresh back from Eufala, Al and Panama City. Singing praises for the redneck Riviera was not how I expected my day to unfurl. I haven’t had fresh eyes on those towns since about ‘83 when I crapped my pants on a putt putt course. But anyway, on to the bad joke. This youngster told the keep that I needed a set of balls. To which I replied, ‘I’ve already got a set.’ And she concluded, that I just needed a fresh rack. Yup.

Ordered chicken fried rice with ragoons and one beer. Got charged twice, once for $30 and another transaction for $40. Tried to call the bar several times, no answer. Will never go back. Check your bank transactions after going here…
