Random but the only thing I would say is the bread comes in bags. Which I don’t understand if you’re sitting, I wouldn’t want to eat out a paper bag, but bread was definitely good !
Sorry no tip Couldn’t think straight having a reaction!
We have here a simple Chicken Marsala plate on take out. Arrived with 3 pieces of complimentary toasted bread and the plastic container wrapped in saran wrap to my surprise. I was very excited because that is not a usual practice amongst restaurants. So for presentations they certainly win. However I was quickly let down with what Joe says is one of their most popular dishes. My tastebuds reaked if flour and notes of oil, the marsala with mushroom boldness was purely just flour. I was super sad at this. I just spent $27 dollars with a $5 dollar tip “cause I picked it up.” I’m really let down by this one and regrettably with prices that high. I can get the flavor of Cicken Marsala from olive garden for way less $$. Sorry Joe, I’ll try you out again maybe in a few months, but at least I did have the courtesy to call and formally let you know. I hope next time is better. I got you on this dish though, its sauteing as we speak with the correct sauce consistency…. On a side note, prices are a bit steep. I absolutely will not be recommending!!! It’s absolutely to expensive for the low quality.
Joe.. have a little excitement when you answer the phone next time will ya? How can I help you with a really poor attitude is just so unwelcoming. You didn’t even offer to make it right, you just told me that it’s one of your most popular dishes. Which tells me you think I’m just full of it when I spoke to you. I assure you though, it’s all flour in that dish. You really have an opportunity here, get better. 🙂
We arrived around 6:30pm and were promptly seated by a friendly hostess—so far, so good. Our server was kind and attentive, and I want to be clear: this review isn’t a reflection of his effort, which is why I gave 3 stars for his service. He did his best in what was clearly a chaotic environment.
Ambience? More like a nightclub. The music was blaring—loud and tasteless for a dinner setting. It made conversation difficult and set a jarring tone for the evening.
Cocktail bar with no cocktail menu? We waited 20 minutes just to place a drink order, only to find out there was no cocktail list. And espresso machine was down… I settled for water, confused and disappointed.
Specials were rattled off like a monologue. No printed menu, no reference—just a long-winded explanation of 2 appetizers, 3 steak options, and 3 veal dishes. It took 15 minutes to get through it all, and we were expected to remember everything. Please, just print the specials.
⏳ The wait was endless. After placing our order, it took over 90 minutes for our food to arrive. We weren’t alone—other tables were visibly frustrated. At 7:30pm, the bartender announced the kitchen was closed due to being backed up. There were maybe 5–6 tables and a few bar seats occupied. How does that overwhelm a kitchen?
Dinner was a disaster. My husband ordered a Delmonico steak with baked potato and asparagus. Just before the food arrived, we were told they were out of potatoes—so fries it was. The steak came out well done instead of medium rare, and the asparagus? Never showed up. A good cut of meat, ruined.
A kind gesture, but too little too late. Nearing the 3-hour mark, our server offered us a complimentary slice of cake to make up for the wait. Sweet, but it took another 20 minutes just to bag our leftovers. I left for the car while my husband stayed behind to pay—another 15 minutes and two reminders later, he finally cashed out.
The final straw. The next day, I opened my leftovers to reheat them and found a massive bug in the food. It was wrapped in the same container from the restaurant—absolutely revolting. That was the nail in the coffin.
This place might be better earlier in the evening, but based on our experience, we won’t be returning. The server was kind, but the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed or disorganized. Three hours of waiting, a ruined meal, and a bug in my food? No thanks.
