We had a delicious meal at a time when the restaurant was quiet after a recent snow storm. Fresh baked pita bread served warm out of the oven was a welcomed treat on a cold evening. We ordered the sampler appetizer and each dip was flavorful without over powering any of the other dips. We also had the Moussaka served in a rich tomato sauce. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The few other tables seemed to also be enjoying their meals. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable.

It is very difficult for me to find a restaurant that my wife and I can enjoy a meal at as she is a Vegan and I am not. Along come RAWA. We ate a late lunch at RAWA this past Wednesday. Lovely atmosphere, our server Rafa was attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable and the food was outstanding. My wife had the chopped salad and the appetizer sampler plate and I started with the citrus chicken soup and the chicken wings. We thoroughly enjoyed ALL of the food we ordered including the homemade pita bread that was served with the appetizer sampler plate. The soup, appetizers, salad and wings were all delicious. We look forward to returning soon and introducing family that live nearby to RAWA.

We came across accidentally when we roaming around we were pleasantly surprised . It has ample seating space and giving Mediterranean vibe. Server was very attentive and kept us informed food status! It a nice place to catch up with family! They were gracious to give free Baklava for dessert and which was delicious!

Rafat the manager on duty was awesome! He made my Husband I feel very comfortable and helped us pick out some delicious appetizers. The lamb was tantalizing. This is definitely our new favorite spot

Horrible experience. Food was uneatable. We ordered hummus and was good. Then we ordered the msakhan pizza and the RAWA special pizza. Both were dry almost like I was eating cardboard. Dough was dry Engreediant were not fresh. It tasted like it was pretty made then frozen. I make better pizza at home. After we asked for check server came and charged us then asked us as we were leaving on how was the pizza. We told her it was very dry and no taste. She told us we had someone said the same. We spent over 60 dollars for food that we couldn’t eat. I wouldn’t mind spending alot of money on good food but this wasnt at all good food nor fresh. Sad

Amazing location, they serve halal food. But for non Muslims there is a bar too. We enjoyed the food so much. It was all over a good experience. Highly recommend the Lambazeen pizza and the Hibiscus drink

Rawa is a gem in Westville, New Haven neighborhood. The staff is always so kind and they have a great rotating selection of cocktails and mocktails. Their dishes (which have many options for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian) have so much flavor and quality olive oil with the right amount of subtle spices. Our favorites are the baba ghanouj, the tabbouleh, and any of the biryani dishes. If you save room for dessert, the baklava is absolutely to die for.

Amazing food, nice atmosphere, good service and friendly owner! We love Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food and this was probably the best we’ve had so far. Hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Foule, Muhammara, Chicken Biryani, Pistachio Baklava… We will certainly return. Also make sure to try the lamb chops and moussaka – delicious!

What a gem of a restaurant! The food was amazing, the staff is wonderful, and the artwork is beautiful. We got the sampler appetizer, all four of the dips were delicious. I had the citrus chicken soup. It was perfect. Definitely check out the artwork.
